TOMBSTONE Watchalong!

Comments

Incredible watch along guys. Tombstone is one of my favorite films. I remember seeing it in the theater like it was yesterday. I'm also a fan of the Wyatt Earp film which is more of a historically accurate western epic vs the popcorn gold of Tombstone. Both are great in their own right. Would love a watch along of Wyatt Earp if you guys can swing it. 👍🏼

Kris is right, she's a whore. Just call a "spade a spade" and stop being a pussy about it mate.

How do you watch your reactions in full screen?

The bottle is Laudanum. It was an opiate medication. So very addictive., Mattie was an addict, hooked on opium. However, they were "live in boyfriend/girlfriend. they weren't "legally" married. Lang played Ike, the bad guy that kept getting away, the coward.. As for the story of the directing. The original director was Kevin Jarre, he got way overwhelmed with the tast and fell way behind in the shooting schedule and failed to get a lot of the shots they needed. After a month of filming he was fired by the producer, Cosmatos was brought in the original script was way longer and due to all the complications so far, Russell worked with the producer to rework the script and focus it more on Wyatt and Docs relationship during their time in Tombstone. The original had a lot of subplots etc. However most everyone that was questioned on who actually directed the film all said it was Russell, Cosmatos was brought in as "ghost director" as a frontman because Russell didn't want the actual directing credits. But Beihn said Russell never personally directed him in any of his scenes and Cosmatos was the one that really brought in the costume design, props and scenery though and wanted to focus in on historical details. Fun fact everyones mustache in the film was real other than Sheriff Behan, he had to be clean shaven for a role outside of this one. Val Kilmer also worked for a long time on his quick draw skills and the accent. And Billy Bobs entire dialogue was all ad libbed his only direction was just be a bully. I grew up in a town near Tombstone and actually our School team was called, 'The Cowboys". So i grew up listening to stories and the local history etc. Matter of fact Wyatts youngest brother was shot and killed in a shootout in my hometown.

It's really worth watching the Val Kilmer documentary called "Val". It showcases his battle with throat cancer and career while showing videos he recorded behind the scenes during other movies, childhood, home life, and more. It's narrated by his son, who sounds just like him.

If you are also looking for another fun western to react to, I highly recommend Silverado. It is just a fun western also done from the writer and director of Wyatt Earp. Also, has an All-Star cast with Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Danny Glover, Kevin Costner and many more.

Yes do a reaction of Wyatt Earp. Also that film kind of fills in the blanks that you had questions about from this film because it is over a 3 hour film. Also, from the Director/writer of Wyatt Earp is the writer of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Empire Strikes Back. It also has another All-Star cast as well.

Val Kilmer was robbed of an Oscar nomination for this film.

Val Kilmer was remarkable in the Doors as Jim Morrison . He sounded like Jim so much that the other members of the Doors couldn't tell the difference. You should watch more Va Kilmer movies like Top Secret!, Real Genius, and The Salton Sea.
