clearing some stuff up: The sex scene was not a coping mechanism for losing her sister. In Vi's mind Jinx escaped and Cait willingly allowed it because she had already decided to let go of her hatred and Vi's happiness was more important to her. Key dialogues: 1. "I KNOW", "She's changed", "She surrendered", "I was waiting for you to wake up" - Vi and Cait scene 2. "hating you... I hated myself" - Cait and Jinx scene 3. "do you think I needed all the guards at hexgates" - Vi and Cait scene Vi also did not think Jinx is "suicidal", she simply thought Jinx was going away on her own accord, away from all the chaos. Jin'x last words to Vi was that she did not need to feel guilty anymore for being happy and that she deserves to be with Cait. By the time Cait arrived there, Vi definitely had come to terms that Jinx is free, and will live without any consequences even though she is not with her anymore. So she followed Jinx's advice. I would have preferred if they took it to Cait's bedroom given the unsanitary conditions, but the jail cell adds more meaning because it was an exact parallel to Caitlyn and Vi's first meeting. The starting frames of the scene are direct parallels (this might help: https://x.com/lenaskzorel/status/1860284169940570616/photo/1) They started their relationship in a jail cell and it evolved to the next step in a jail cell. It's not out of place if you think about it. I think lots of people thought of it as out of place because Cait and Vi didn't have a proper "talk" face to face about everything, but Caitlyn and Vi's relationship has always been that way since S1, their love language has always been about actions not words.
