I would like Jaby & Achara to watch MERA NAAM JOKER, a 1970 Hindi classic directed by Raj Kapoor and with him as lead. It's about an ageing clown who remembers his past love stories. It's said to be partly autobiographical. Watching this movie will introduce you to the mega star Raj Kapoor and you will see why he was such a respected artist both as actor and as director. You'll also see why he was so popular in Russia (he was popular there before but this movie added to it/included a tribute to his Russian fanbase). This movie will also surprise you more than once and challenge misconceptions you may have about old Bollywood movie. Raj was a very *bold* artist. With this film you will also see Rishi Kapoor's first role, he was a teenager and played the protagonist young in the 1st act of the movie. Raj was Rishi's dad in real life (consequently Ranbir's grandfather as well as Kareena's). Please consider this request for an early supporter like me 😊

Other creators are doing that where they have the movie playing on full screen and they are in one corner as a small cutout on top of the movie. It is difficult to have a copy of the movie and playing that along with the reaction, and this would be a huge upgrade for the subscribers...

I rather wait for the movie that has been requested to be seen by the patreon . The rule is one movie request. bunch of movies request in one comment would be ignored. You give us to vote from August 25 to August 31 to vot. Then you cut off the vote on September 1 2023. Achara and Jaby will look for which 2 has been voted most from each industry and we get that in September. I don’t want early access.

I would have opted for HotTofu if it had regular uploads. Although I don't frequently watch the other channels, I consistently enjoyed watching Cinetofu videos.

2024-08-30 21:53:26 +0000 UTCWe don't show the full movie alongside our reaction because that would be considered piracy and we could get into a lot of legal issues for doing so. What other creators decide to do is their choice, but if film companies ever found out about what they were doing, and decided to crack down on them for whatever reason, they could be in for a world of trouble (and we have heard this happen before). For us, it's just not worth the risk so we've decided to do the watchalongs this way. We know it's not perfect but so far that seems to be the best way to do it.

We should be engaging more on Patreon and that's definitely something that we need to improve upon. @Nathan, regarding the restructuring, we realised that so much of it was just so spread out and it was getting difficult to fulfill all the requests all of the time. Regarding, video requests, we have fulfilled them but there may have been some that fell through the cracks and I'm truly sorry about that. Making the decision to streamline and simplify the tiers the way we have made the most sense to us but in order to be fair to people who have already been supporting us on the old tiers, we're not making you all move to a new tier right away. You can still get what you were getting before for the next 12 months.

We have decided not to do this because this could be seen as piracy, which is a serious crime here. In addition, we love and support the arts and understand the hard work that everyone involved puts into working on a film or tv show. Whenever possible, we want to support this by subscribing to the streaming platforms or buying and renting the movies. And yes, Andy is right. legal repercussions could happen by showing a full movie or show episode in screen. We have heard of other channels getting into trouble for doing so and we just don't want to risk that.

You’re already going the extra mile, by being on Patreon. Let alone paying $5. Did say… this tier will be. Valid for 12 months. Then afterwards, paying members need to choose 1 of 3 $5 tiers? Hm. So before such changes go into effect. Patron’s don’t need to? Or do…? (Hoping for don’t.) On a different note. Kind of… feels like $100 & $50 tiers are being swept under the rugs. Intentionally not giving any word on these “ promises “. They so want to keep. Would have liked a segment as to why., then the handwaving away. This video gave. Welp… disappointing Did they even fulfill a video request?

Your Patreon definitely needs revamping so it's good that you are addressing that but tbh I don't know what these changes will truly bring, I watch both the desi and US content and now with $5 I will have to choose... I understand that $5 is already a low price for a normal channel and that here it was giving access to twice the content. But at least just say this is the reason for the change lol. Same with getting rid of the $50 tier. I'm guessing it's because having to react to any "random" movie chosen by someone was stress inducing. I totally get it, but if as I suspect it's the reason you could have explained it clearly. Just my 2 cents 😄 However in terms of making your Patreon better (it's currently a bit stale and I say that as a member of another US channel with 300k followers on YT but 15k patrons, and a very engaging Patreon page), I think you should posts more polls, or find other ways to engage more with your supporters.

I would recommend "HEERAMANDI", "JUBILEE" and "CLASS" to you guys ❤️ They are all really good shows and absolutely shouldn't be missed on the channel 🙌 Try a few episodes, there has been a lot of hype for Heeramandi for example so views shouldn't be a problem. Do keep in mind though that series despite being widely loved might not get as much views as movies, but they definitely will make more people come to the patreon etc ✨
