2024-07-25 10:07:39 +0000 UTCAt first, I had my doubts about this movie but then, like you were saying, Robert Pattinson owned this role and stole the movie. I was hooked. After that, I read all of the books and fell in love with Edward. To be honest, I can't stand Kristen Stewart in this role. She plays a very... what's the word.... manic depressive Bella. The Bella in the books, at least to me, is much more upbeat and more believable as a character. I can't wait to see how you guys react to the rest of the series. :)

My friend suggested this movie and I watched it and didn't like it. But then I got into the books and it all made more sense at the time. Jaby is right to notice Robert's funny look in the lab scene. It was supposed to be that of a predator's . In that moment he was contemplating throwing all that restraint he built and kill the whole class so that he could devour her blood. Yikes.. I know but I still unapologetically like the books flaws and all. Hoping you would continue the reaction.

And while this franchise certainly helped put Anna Kendrick on the map more commercially, her Oscar nomination for Up in the Air I think was more of her break into establishing herself fully.
