Hi Resham. I never said that the premise and plot itself are unrealistic. I know how illegal immigration works being a social development professional who's worked with Afghan, Syrian and African refugees. It's the character relationships, the fake Punjabi inflection in their voices, the emotions and the actual conversations between Indian and foreign characters in the film that I find unrealistic. Also, there are more subtle ways of showing how people are racist. Moreover, they never showed Manu or anyone else's journey, relationships or attachments within the UK itself. I just saw them dissing the UK while leaving which I found strange because I have relatives abroad and while one may want to come back home, it's not that easy and casual a decision as they showed in the film. Also, the miraculous story of them coming back to India- sorry, but i found the way it was executed unrealistic. I know they had to be dramatic for the sake of the film but I found it silly. None of the conversations felt real or authentic to me. The only real part in the film was Manu being shell shocked while passing through Iran and having to see some grotesque things.

2024-03-02 02:40:48 +0000 UTCIt wasn't unrealistic at all, I was born in London and my father travelled from India like this. No joke, the exact same way, same as my uncles. This is the truth for a lot of people who want to travel to the west to make more money. Manu did Taxi and she was able to support her family back home. That's the truth of it. It's not a melodrama, its the insane realities people face to make their and their families life better. Don't shit on it. It's not another stereotype of racism either. It's all the truth. SRK was in love with Manu and being a soldier he knew that danger was ahead in her travels. That's why he joined and ultimately saved her when walking through the desert. Educate yourself before you leave reviews like this. The only unrealistic thing in this film was Manu not calling SRK in 25 years.

2024-02-29 07:08:28 +0000 UTCFirst time watching this and with you guys. Didn't like the film at all. Such tropes and the same old stereotype of how racism is shown. The melodrama felt superficial. I couldnt even understand why SRK left his own life to join this gang in their mission. Lol at seeing Steph s face when she s not really enjoying a film. I felt the same girl.

2024-02-28 16:25:34 +0000 UTCThe Stallion dance SRK from Jhoome Jo Pathaan did made this film to smell like donkey ass. Yes this is the hindi people struggle. Achara & Steph should cry for Hindi people struggle.

2024-02-28 03:01:53 +0000 UTCCompletely agree with Achara in the review. Definitely the weakest movie from Raju Hirani (in my opinion). I know intellectually what I'm supposed to feel but the tone(s) just did not seem to work for me either
