2024-02-26 00:26:14 +0000 UTCthe bad wigs and fresh clothes aside, the dialogue is hard to sit through. However, the world and the animals look amazing, with some good bending scenes. Seeing the live-action limitations now, I'm more excited for the animated sequel movie from the OG creators about adult team-Avatar

2024-02-25 22:10:43 +0000 UTCi dont mind that they reworked character apperances to fit the live action adaptation easier (for ex, the Teo ep with a full battle scene right before season finale is gonna be hard/too much to imlement in live action). My biggest gripe is the actual character work. For exaple, Bumi and Iroh seem like diff characters than who they were in the og. Their dialogues, what their vibe/essense is, the purpose of the charcter, etc.. it just feels completely off

However, their choices in what exactly changes is so clumsy and it becomes pretty clear that they have no idea what the essence/purpose of certain characters and their actions are. Out of the main gaang, most of the characters seem like totally different people in the netflix series vs the original. Thats my biggest gripe with continuing the series

The facial expression on Jaby Koay is the same expressions I have whenever I see a scene and/or character that's too early to be seen at an episode. Like it's so weird that Netflix had to cram up a lot of episodes from the cartoon to an episode of the live action. like why is Wan Shi tong shown to us so early in S1 in the spirit world? We were supposed to see Wan Shi tong in the Library..... and Princess Yue never became the fox who visits the spirit world for fun........ Like there were foxes in the cartoon but they were the Foxes of Wan Shi tong in the library and none of the foxes were white...... Like I understand this is an interpretation of the cartoon but netflix could've atleast stuck to what the characters were and the when and where they appeared.
