Their are actually to Venom films that are more accurate to the Characters in Venom and Venom Let Their be Carnage. Tom Hardy plays both Eddie Brock and Venom. They are two entities in the same body with two very different personalities. Eddie is a selfish smart ass reporter whose heart is typically in the right place. Venom is more like that fun annoying little brother that has no filter that you always have to keep in check. Also, Venom is more of an anti-hero than a villain as well.
