2023-10-05 21:12:32 +0000 UTCI love Hacksaw Ridge. This was Andrew Garfield’s first Oscar nomination. If you also want to check out another great war film, check out Sergeant York (1941). It stars Gary Cooper in his first Oscar winning role (was also chosen by the real Sergeant York himself to play Sergeant York in the film). It also has some similar, not the exact same but similar themes from Hacksaw in it. It is also based on a true story as well. It is also based in WWI too.
