In India, there have been some instances where "Paki" is used as a slur for Indian Muslims, which is obviously hurtful and alientating. Nothing wrong in being Pakistani but it others the person who's at the receiving end. Having said that, you inference didnt affect anything because Pakistani and Indian freedom fighters did fight side by side against the British. 2. The character Laxman that you loved is played by veteran and excellent actor- Atul Kulkarni. He's a popular and critically acclaimed actor. Has done many regional Marathi films too.
