2025-08-07 17:32:43 +0000 UTCI think the explanation to how this got produced was that in the early 90s computers weren’t really understood among older people like TV executives. These were people who would probably describe the internet as “a series of tubes”, but they knew computers were popular among the youths and so they wanted to release something to that demographic. Unfortunately in doing so they didn’t have the ability to discriminate good sci-fi from techno-magic.
