This inspired me to re-watch Bikini Drive-In for the first time since I was a teenager. It's hard to watch when it's trying to be funny but the rest is hilarious. I'd forgotten how hard they had to work to frame lap dances as sex scenes. So much nudity but even when they're having sex it's more like a placeholder for sex. There's this amazing bit where they're setting up that the two main characters are falling for each other and they go in for their first kiss with the big romantic song kicking in. It's all meant to be sweet and tender but the instant their lips make contact he straight up tears her bikini top down and she doesn't react to it at all. He's the nice guy. He's not her shitty ex who immediately told her to fuck off when she inherited the drive-in and it threated to cut into his throwing a football on the beach time. He's meant to be proving that just because his dad is resorting to crime to shut down the drive-in she owns but also maybe rents doesn't mean he's a jerk. Yet he just yanks her top down in this intimate moment. It's not a moment of passion where they have to have each other right there on the beach. They keep playing it as slow and romantic before seagull fading to a sex scene at a totally different location. They just desperately needed one singular tit on the screen for three seconds to make the scene work. It's burned into my brain as a gif now. 100% recommend watching it.
