I love how this show starts almost the exact same way as Mountain Monsters "for years, the (LOCATION) has seen more (CREATURE/PARANORMAL) sightings than anywhere in the United States"

Marx's fake Bigfoot films were so ludicrous that even the true believers wouldn't endorse them. (There's an art to doing fake monster films, which is mostly about NOT filming anything with decent lighting or focus, which Marx ignores.)

If you want to keep to Bigfoot I’d suggest The Mysterious Monsters, because it’s a classic and I love how all the stores end just as something interesting happens, and The Legend of Bigfoot, because I’m mad at you for not doing more episodes of Mountain Monsters and I want you to suffer.

As Jason noted, most people don't know what a dead animal decomposing and/or its corpse being picked over by scavengers in the wild looks like. The initially surprising thing is that even most people who work with animals don't know what that looks like. Which does make some sense if you think about it. If you're a small farmer or a cowboy, you're probably going to find the body within a day or two of the animal dying, not after a long time has passed. So even to an experienced cowboy, some pretty normal circle-of-life stuff looks really weird.
