My cousin got married around this movie and all the songs were like anthems for us. And we were still learning tamil. π Even her eldest daughter was named Aishwarya after Aishwarya Rai. Today, she is no longer with us but this song and all the others in this movie brings back that nostalgia of happy times with all of us being "just kids".

Shankar goal always to developed the indian cinema like 2.0. Hope the new generation of directors will continue to develope indian cinema.

I saw the discussion and all ur comments are valid except to say it feels old school because it was deliberately modeled like a period movie song from the 50's and 60's. This movie used cutting edge tech to make the actors as twins and has the most outrageous CGI song sequences. . This is actually a fantasy of the 2nd brother who is very traditional and old school and his idea of Romance is still very much classical in ways so he is imagining her based on the old movie songs he grew up with. It's just to distinguish the 2 brothers.
