Just to add additional information, the initial founder of the IPL now lives in exile in London after there were a multitude of corruption charges against him. Also, India is now in a position where they kinda hold the world cricketing body under ransom in terms of the money they make. LoL just thought I’d throw that out here for additional tidbits.

It's nice to see them acknowledge the shift in the power.I saw a Kapil Dev( the 83 WC captain) interview. Someone asked him does it bother you that cricket today makes so much money while you guys had to work so hard. And he said, "you view it that way. But the way I see it, back in the days when cricketers were asked to do tours in India, many worried if they would get some disease or about too much pollution. From that, to now, seeing the players wanting to come to India and be part of IPL, that's what I view as the country's progress in cricket. It's the spirit of legendary players like Kapil Dev, Sachin etc that made Indian cricket what it is today.
