O.K. In 1932 Warner Bros. released "Gabriel Over The White House" in which the President has a religious epiphany and declares a Military Dictatorship to solve the Great Depression. For the purposes of this movie the Depression was caused by gangsters. It has higher production value than this, but a similar batshit take on politics.
