Podcasting Day: Expository Theme Songs with Zak Koonce! 🌭

Happy Podcasting Day! This week’s podcast is all about expository theme songs that-

Wait, what the fuck am I doing? This is clearly wrong. Let me try again-

Now this week’s podcast is all about how

Zak Koonce rolled up and asked if we were down

To rap about songs about the movies they’re in

So we said “FUCK YEAH,” but where to begin?

Wicky Wicky Wild Wild West made your day

It’s the quickest lip in town, says Brockway

T.U.R.T.L.E. Power is sure to please

Just ask any available Seanbabies

Now City of Crime

Is a hell of a time

Brought to you by ya boy Zak Koonce

Packin’ flow by the pound and rhyme by the ou…

Flowin’ like rivers, spittin’ like monsoo...

He

FUCK

Here’s the broadcast

Of a lovely podcast

Featuring three very lovely boys

All of them brought songs

About their movies

To make a joyous noise

We’re talking raps

That do the recaps

Of the very movies you watch them in

Just like Feel the Impact

From that movie

Where Van Damme bangs his twin

So today you’ll listen to this great episode

And tell all your friends, in prose so purple

That they should like, subscribe, review

Then you’ll finally feel like you…

You’ll get all the praise you…

You

the turtle cummies sequence should be submitted for the podcasting equivalent of the emmys

Rainey Robertson

But is, to be fair, a much better song than "Don't Turn Your Back"

Dave Dalrymple

" a plot so simple and racist that its daughter married a black man just to piss it off" - Seanbaby

Daphne Lawless

The only thing I remember about that movie is the South Park parody. I'M A JIGGY-JIGGY COWBOY LIVING IN THE COWBOY DAYS

Daphne Lawless

... and they did use "Veterans of the Psychic War" which had nothing to do with the movie

I was in high school when OG TNMT was at its height and that was a serious topic. A significant number of boys aged 16-18 said Michelangelo was their favorite, but they wanted to be Donatello. Not quite as cool, but all the brains. Those guys got a lot of girls, too, so some of them may have actually been Donatello.

“Something something brother Numsie…stabbed him with The Knife and he went ‘boom’, see?”

Vyncent

my favorite thing about Wild Wild West is how much Will Smith hates both the song and movie. Or at least hated. I don't know if he's mellowed over the years. Raphael isn't everyone's favorite turtle. #TeamDonatello he does machines.

I think it's a shame that the producers of HEAVY METAL chose not to use the expository theme songs that Blue Oyster Cult recorded for the film.
