Learning Day: Amelia Bedelia But She's the Bad Kind of Crazy 🌭

Amelia Bedelia was first published in 1963 and has been reprinted for early readers of four generations. If you don't remember from when you were six, it's the story of a deranged cleaning woman who destroys her client's home through a series of absurd misunderstandings. It's cute, but what I propose to you is, what if it wasn't?

Sean you have a really worrying knack for Clive Barker-style horror.

I'm a former teacher who had Amelia Bedelia books in my classroom. The kiddos never got the "jokes" because they were too dated (and also not very funny). This, however, is the funniest fucking thing I've ever seen.

Amelia Bedelia walked and was terrible so Caillou could run and be even more hated.

Considering some of the things that have been on here lately, this was a breath of fresh air.

Ha! I see what you did there!

I've never read Amelia Bedelia. It's probably too late now. These books are never as good as Seanbaby makes them out to be.

Worse yet, the chicken is German.

This wasn’t Richard Scarry . . . so my childhood is safe. For now.

yes i got a little tired of Scottie Pippin in my head talkin to me tellin me to do things whenever I chose Bulls on the NBA JAM machine at Lava Hot Springs so I started choosing what the machine said were local favorites Utah Jazz instead and I never won again but at least Stockton usually was saying nice things or just about the weather and what have you

"You see, she's supposed to clean, but she's bad at it! Ha! Ha! Now let's write a story about a woman who can't cook. Ha! Ha!"

Talking Alpaca

I love this. We actually used to do shit like this reading to our kids... perhaps that's why our kids are kind of messed up.
