The Originals 2x19 - "When The Levee Breaks" FULL REACTION

Comments

Everyone including klaus have their hypocritical moments, anyone who’s seen the whole series to this show knows that, I’ve always said that learning where every character in the show comes from and reasonings to why they did what they did, makes the show much more enjoyable rather than picking a side and sitting hard on it, klaus has every right to want to protect his daughter and with all the years of paranoia and untrustworthy ness it’s completely understandable for him not to trust others more importantly now that they face such a huge threat who wants to take something he holds so dear to himself BUT that doesn’t take away the horrible plan of running solo when EVERYONE is doing EVERYTHING In their power to save or defend hope, keeping everyone in the dark as klaus did was what had everyone turn on him had he been cooperative nothing negative would’ve came from the episode, I do agree Hayley was in the wrong for choosing to run with the child and thinking they can run from dahlia was foolish as well as having the pack try to defend them as they previously showed to be in affective against her, but you have to understand she’s a mother, what kicked in was her motherly instinct. Dahlia rag dolled the orginals including mikael just as easily as she did with the wolves, she followed the orders of klaus and his siblings and time in time out (knowing she had no say) and it showed to fail, so when dahlia literally showed up in front of Hayley she knew then and there that everything being done wasn’t working and as any mother in her situation, they would’ve stopped doing nothing (as it proved time and time to be ineffective with the orginals being rag dolled, Josephine infiltrating the compound and dahlia reaching Hayley and taking down the magical barrier) and taken action into they’re own hands cause no mother in their right minds would choose to do nothing knowing their child is in a life or death situation. As for klaus not trusting freya, I agree it’s based on the principle that they both are to alike and have had almost identical childhoods in terms of trauma, but I disagree with your reasons for freya, she also has two goals, she has her freedom as one and the other is protecting her siblings from dahlia, freya has dreamed for a thousands years a relationship with her siblings, and time in time out she’s helped, and saved most of them because she genuinely cares for them, she had bumps in the road when she helped fin but that’s because she didnt know any of them only what she’s gathered over the years from rumors so she obviously didn’t know who was good and bad or wrong in the right, she even told Elijah that she didn’t think fin would scoop as low to kill a child, and that, that wasn’t the Fin she knew as children. Also don’t think she would give hope to dahlia knowing all she’s gone through, knowing hope would face the same fate she did at the hands of dahlia, in freyas words “I wouldn’t wish my experiences with dahlia to my worst enemy”, freya cares for her siblings and I believe she cares for hope as well, MOSTLY since she herself knows the feeling of the losing a child

This episode proved to me that all the characters in this show are hypocrites. Klaus was willing to work with Mikael to keep Hope safe. Klaus has more say in how to protect his kid than anybody including Haley. He is stronger and as smart if not smarter than them all but yeah let's let Haley leave with "super wolves" the Dahlia can snap her fingers and kill. It's one thing if Klaus was being a bad father, but all he's doing is trying to protect her. Haley & the pack do NOT stand a chance against Dahlia, so imagine how infuriated Klaus was to hear they left with their child. I feel like many choose ANYONE's side BUT Klaus... ever. Genuine question why is it okay for Hayley to get to run away and live life with Hope, but Klaus should just sit back and live a life without his daughter? He has every right to be upset about not having a say that his daughter gets to stay away from him, and Hayley uses hope as an excuse to blame Klaus for her selfish needs, Jackson completely ruined the relationships Hayley had with the Mikaelsons and as a result everyone suffered and literally was Hayley’s plan seriously just to hide in the bayou until Dahlia just got tired of looking for them? And what’s worse is that she took people who had proven themselves to be ineffective at fighting Dahlia with her. OH, this is random but if roles were reversed Hayley definitely would lie to Hope in the future when she asked about her father if they kept Klaus daggered for good. I feel like the reason Klaus doesn't trust Freya is because they are 2 sides of the same coin. Both with kill, torture, manipulate, and hurt anybody to get to their goal. The difference is Klaus has 2 goals, to kill Dahlia and protect Hope and Freya has one, just to kill Dahlia. Freya will use Hope to get to Dahlia and not care what happens to her in the process as long as she gets Dahlia. So, Klaus can't let that happen. After daggering him and taking him away from his kid, after taking away the biggest weapon you have, and after kidnapping his daughter I honestly can't wait to see what kind of punishment Klaus comes up with for all of them.
