I like how you noticed during the fight scene with Frank Randall in the rain that he kind of shows an appearance of Jack. Similarly, during The Garrison Commander episode, Jack shows an appearance of Frank.

But it was so much more horrific when r*pe was seen as a woman's fault, a character defect. And there were just no protections for women within the law which is why it was so incredibly important for a woman to have the protection of a strong man, a fact that is so infuriating in and of itself. But it really was necessary. As to the first assault by the two deserters, I believe Jamie would have moved the second the dude with the gun to his throat let his guard down even for a split second. We saw how fast he moved when he slit his throat. But I think he knew that if he made a move before the right moment, he'd be dead and absolutely no use to Claire whatsoever. So, these first 8 episodes were aired over 8 weeks from Aug - Sept. This episode aired on Sept 27, 2014. Episode 9 didn't air until Apr 4, 2015!! It was over 6 months that we had to wait for the next episode!! We had that friggin' ending and then a 6 month period which we termed "Drought-lander". 😁 Now that's the nickname for all the very long breaks between seasons. LOL! So glad I don't have to wait 6 months for your next reaction. I want to warn you about a thing in the next episode, but I obviously don't want to spoil you on what happens. So, I'll just say this - trust in the story and the characters. That's vague, I know. LOL! But it's the best I can do without spoiling you. 😊
