Stefan had Lexi to teach him, Damon had Sage. Back then Damon didn't know that Stefan had a problem. The Stefan problem is that he was turned when he was seventeen, he had lived a sheltered life and he was very naive. When Emily told him that his heart was still pure, but that will be his curse, that is what she meant. He has difficulty to come to term with the fact that he is a vampire, he is always pretending to be human, he has always craved to go back to the time he had a simpler life and was in control on it. That is why he went for Elena to get a pretend human life, as he said to Lexi, "when I'm with her I almost forget who I am". That is why he is swinging from one extreme to another because he always try very hard to suppress his vampire side and never learnt to controll it. When he has his humanity off, he has no problem in controll it. So his feeling shame of his condition is Stefan's root problem. Damon on the contrary, was turned when he was an adult, he went to war, he experienced already death, and war. So, Damon had a bit more of a though skin, he spent most of his first 50 years to just deal with the fact that in order to survive he had to feed on people, untill the time he can get to Katherine again, to make sense of this insane ethernal life. Untill he meet Sage he was just, getting on with it. Sage thought him that being a vampire could actually be fun. There is a lot of resentment and misunderstanding between the two brothers, and I love the fact that they are trying to pass that too. The only constant in both life is each other, and evene if they seem to taka that notion for granted deep down they know that. That is why that no matter the past, they always find a way to get back together.

2021-08-21 17:38:34 +0000 UTCIf you notice the last time Damon killed Alaric he told him that he should get the ring checked cause it took too long to wake up, well here we go, the ring has been having problems since a few episodes ago and no one seems to have noticed!!! From now on all the episodes are CRAZY
