That vicious little Katherine lol she's so badass, the fact that she's been drinking vervain for the last 100+ years is crazy AND that she was faking all along just to spend time with Stefan and try to remind him that he DID love her before and like she said he could love her again aaarrgggh so good.
Caroline has been helping Katherine this episode but she's also been projecting on Elena a little bit.. she's still dealing with what being a vampire implies. It kinda hit me when she said that Elena would never have Stefan's children and that she was way too maternal to never have children.... I then realized that no, Caroline will never be able to have children and to have that taken away from you just like that and for some petty reason (Katherine wanting to hurt or like keep an eye on Elena not so sure yet what her big plan is) but still... everything Caroline said to Elena also applied to her but in the vampire perspective. Her whole future has to be reconsidered! She seems like the kind of person who knew exactly what she wanted in life and now she's lost that kind of certitude and that must be rough :(

Thanks, I did have another comment after Patpet, but it's not showing. Anyway, I just feel that as a viewer, it's important to try to maintain the integrity of the reactor's viewing experience and not spoil it as best as possible, it creates a more honest reaction that everyone can enjoy. I'm still in a learning process as it were when it comes to this even.

2021-04-22 23:40:15 +0000 UTCI see reactions the exact same way since I've watched so many Buffy reactors and enjoy them so much! that's why I was surprised at people being offended by me just giving my honest opinion cause I never felt that way hahaha I do think it's unfortunate though but I don't let it get to me because it's absolutely ridiculous! 2021-04-22 22:10:18 +0000 UTC@KeithEngel well said, totally agree. @Evie don' let anybody tell you what or who you should like, let's stay straight on the writer path, and analyse what the writers are telling you with that specific scene, the connections with the previous episodes etc. to enrich your viewing. So that you can experience the show and make your own mind on what you feel about it. We all got to this point of analysis of the details, after many views and we are sharing the details with you, because we are experiencing with you only one view. It is difficult to notice everything the first time around. But we are here to pointed out to you what we learn by watching the show many times. so that you can have a full understanding and appreciation on how this show is very different from other show and how incredibly well written it is.

So he knew that his brother loved her, and to add to that season one episode 6, I quote Stefan: "I didn't care I've gotten something my brother wanted, I didn't even care if it hurt him, I only knew that I wanted her". So it put in prospective the whole Damon, Stefan, Katherine situation.

2021-04-21 23:37:45 +0000 UTCYou are so right!! there's so much information in so little dialogue sometimes and thank you for making me notice this because of course I saw the scene (where she kisses Stefan and then Damon waits in her room) but all the little details kind of get lost sometimes especially for a first time watcher because there's so much going on!

Stefan and Damon died because of her, she turn Stefan in a vampire without his consent. She left Damon thinking she was dead, he wanted to die because of that. She is dangerous.

2021-04-21 19:05:07 +0000 UTCFirst important things in the flash back. When Stefan made his love declaration, he didn't know that Katherine was a vampire. But Damon probably did. While Stefan outside Katherine bedroom, tells her he loves her, the words he uses imply they only kiss, Damon was already inside her bedroom. Now, no gentleman at that time could be in a lady bedroom unless invited, and from their conversation it is clear that they slept together already. Damon: "Is my love not enough?" Katherine: " I'm tired, I wish to be alone TONIGHT". So Damon was with Katherine first, he doesn't lie. Second, Damon seems reckless with Mason, but Damon isn't stupid. How Mason knows that Damon is a vampire? None of the Lockwood have any idea, he just arrived in town, he is not part of the council, how does he know about vampires in Mystic Falls in the first place? Why he is looking for the moonstone?

As you bring up we learned that Stefan was in love with Katherine prior to him learning about her being vampire and her telling Stefan some truth he has been denying. What else could Stefan be denying? Katherine also has mentioned for the second time a certain matter... I knew you would love this episode with the Flashbacks. There is lots of key information in this episode, learning more about the Lockwoods and the curse and how that is triggered. That silver doesn't affect them, once again playing on the myths of traditional lore and flipping them a bit. It's also okay for new viewers to be split on the Stelena and Delena matter, at this point in time in the story. It's what makes watching reactions really fun and great as well. Great reaction as always.
