Furthermore, once again you can see this dynamic of deeper insight that Elena has with Damon's character and vice versa. Also Anna and Jeremy, one of my favorite relationships.

2021-03-31 14:32:58 +0000 UTCThe sight of blood for a newly vampire is an impossible sight to resist. Stefan didn't beg Damon to feed, he forced him, against his will. He grabbed his neck and push him towards the bleeding girl's neck. That is why Damon is pissed off with his brother, because he forced him into life he didn't wanted and alone without Katherine. Stefan feels the guilt of forcing his brother to become a vampire, but he never apologise for it. Damon, even if he find hard to forgive his brother, he still loves him and when he saw him suicidal, he wanted to unburden Stefan of the guilt he carries with him. So he told him ,not to feel responsible for his own actions and to retain the facade of tough guy and make what he is saying convincing told him that he hated him not because he force him to turn , but because of Katherine, that is clearly a lie. He knew that Katherine turned him too back in the 1864, as shown in the scene by the lake when they were still transitioning and Damon was perfectly fine with it. He wished Stefan an eternity of misery only after Stefan turned him into a vampire. Emily told Stefan that being a vampire for him will be a curse because his heart is pure. He was turned when he was 17 years old, very naive, and unprepared for life in general, imagine being a vampire. Damon was more adult, he was 24, went through the horror of war. That is why Stefan feels everything so dramatically everything that he was is heighten, his young, naive, sympathetic, unequipped nature, played a crucial part in the kind of vampire he became. As well as per Damon that can cope with his vampire side much better than his brother, but when it comes to feelings he is more vulnerable, more exposed, that is why he is pretending not to feel, and keeps emotions bottled up. The fact that he is the big brother, plays also a role in his instinct as a vampire, he resent Stefan for what he has done to him, but at the same time he is protective of his brother.
