For ages uncounted, the lich Velkeron the Hollow-Eyed, known to some as the Black Crown, has spread death and ruin across the planes. Once a mortal of unmatched intellect and ambition, Velkeron embraced undeath not to conquer but to unravel the essence of life itself, pursuing forbidden knowledge with a zeal that bordered on madness. Kingdoms have crumbled, bloodlines erased, and entire civilizations turned to ash beneath his cold gaze—not out of malice, but through a relentless, inhuman obsession with arcane mastery. His atrocities are etched into history, and the souls of his victims still whisper in torment, yearning for justice.

Now, at last, the characters have been sent to stop him.

Whether chosen by the descendants of the fallen, summoned by desperate champions, or tasked by the gods, the party is flung across the veil into the Negative Energy Plane—a realm of entropy, undeath, and silence, where even hope rots. There, embedded in a dead voidstone asteroid, rises the Bone Spiral: Velkeron’s lair, his final fortress, and a prison of his own design. To stop him, the party must descend into a place where death is only the beginning.
