A New Novel!!!

I want to announce a new novel, I Can See Your Stats!

Synopsis

One day, unfortunate news flew all the way to the Mage’s City. The mage, Solar Xing Ayra’s, entire family had been killed in an accident. Thus, he must now become the next Lord of the Solar family.

The childhood home he returned to felt unfamiliar and strange. He barely managed to conduct a funeral with advisors that regarded him with suspicion. After fainting from various stressors, he woke up and…

“Hello, Master. Nice to meet you!” ^o^ From now on, I’ll be the cute GM spirit fulfilling Master’s dreams: ‘Adventuring the world!’, ‘Fun estate management!’ I’m so happy to be with Master from now on, yay!

“Enter a name ______”

… What is this pebble-like spirit that calls me ‘Master’?

No matter how you look at it–these level-up quests and these system windows…they were similar to a game’s user interface from his previous life.

What is this… thing that seems more suited to modern civilization? Reminiscing on the games he had longed to play, Ayra worked hard on the quests. And, slowly, he also began exploring the territory.

However, the territory…

[D-234 days until the fall of the Solar estate.]

“There are 234 days left till ruin…?”

Alright, let’s start with the coronation ceremony. Things will work out somehow.

I Can See Your Stats!

Prologue

Screams echoed from everywhere. As the castle walls crumbled, heavy stones crashed into the ground with thunderous thuds. Yet even in this dire moment, Ayra couldn't even think about running away, let alone take his eyes off the person before him.

It wasn't because of the other person's striking flame-like red hair and eyes. Nor was it because of his handsome smile that showed no fear or anxiety in the face of this catastrophe. As Ayra stumbled backward, an arm like a snake suddenly reached out and painfully grabbed his arm. The gaze directed at him burned and glowed like crimson flames.

"You'll die if you go that way."

The voice struck down with casual indifference. Even though Ayra knew this wasn't the time for such things, he found himself mesmerized, checking Janus's stat window. Before he knew it, a pebble had already emerged and was anxiously floating around Ayra.

Soon, the stat window appeared next to Janus's head.

'Affection 1? Only 1?'

As Ayra stared intently at the stat window, Janus's eyes followed his gaze. After looking around as if searching for something behind him, he stopped precisely at the empty space where Ayra was staring. His red eyes narrowed, gradually taking on an icy gleam.

And soon, something even more concerning than the unprecedented earthquake or the other person's mere affection level of 1 appeared. It wasn't a stat window or a notification window.

1. Thank you for saving me earlier. (Bad Ending)

2. Nonsense. What are you talking about? (Bad Ending)

3. I don't really understand what you're saying. (Bad Ending)

This... wasn't it supposed to just show stats? Why are there choices?

Wait, what ending? ...Bad ending?

Recalling the pleasant times they had spent together, Ayra blankly stared at the man before him. Janus smiled broadly, showing his sharp white teeth as his red eyes narrowed. His gaze gleamed like that of a reptile.

Chapter 1

Enlightenment

'...What is this?'

Ayra, who had been staring blankly, closed his eyes tightly and opened them again. His eyes were so dry that he wondered if he was seeing things. His body's condition, aching and throbbing as if he had been beaten by multiple people, contributed to this judgment. However, no matter how many times he blinked, the round something sitting on his chest wouldn't disappear. It was a transparent, smooth, round pebble-like object about the size of two adult fists combined.

If that was all, he might have thought someone had placed something there, but this pebble had eyes, nose, and mouth. Round eyes like dots, a nose poked into the stone, and a mouth shaped like the Korean letter 'ㅅ'. When he closed his eyes tightly and opened them again, the pebble blinked along with him. Ayra slowly turned his thoughts to speculation.

'A demon beast? A magic golem? A hallucination? An illusion?'

Ayra doubted his eyes again. The pebble displayed text just below its mouth. If those weren't some incomprehensible symbols... it had written 'Hi' in English, of all things.

Hi? English?! Just as Ayra, who thought he must be seeing things, tried to raise his hand to rub his eyes and groaned in pain, someone who had been hovering nearby immediately approached and thrust their face close. When his blurry vision cleared, it was Shinjae, his younger mage colleague.

"Ayra, are you coming to your senses? How do you feel?"

"Shinjae..."

Ayra's eyes widened just as he was about to ask if Shinjae could see this strange creature too. It was because of the window that appeared next to his colleague's head as he looked down at him with concern. No matter how many times he blinked, it wouldn't disappear.

======================================================================

It was unmistakably a stat window that looked exactly like the UI from a game he used to play in his previous life.

Solar Xing Ayra was a reincarnator.

To be precise, he was the second son of the Solar family who remembered living an ordinary twenty years in a world called Earth in his previous life before unfortunately meeting his end in a traffic accident. As if straight out of a fantasy novel, he spent his entire childhood brooding under the puzzled gazes of those around him who wondered, "Why is this child so quiet?"

'Why was I born with memories of my previous life? Could I have been given some special destiny? Am I... perhaps the protagonist?'

To cut to the conclusion, he wasn't. The mage city labyrinth 'Labyrinth' that he entered after awakening as a mage at age six was teeming with reincarnators and transmigrators.

In the labyrinth, whenever someone mentioned even the word 'reincarnator' or 'transmigrator', conversations like these would break out:

‘Actually, I'm a reincarnator…’

‘Oh, you too? I'm a transmigator. Do you know anyone from Zerkmahar?’

‘Looking for a mage from Garganti. Join our hometown association!’

‘Everyone call me big brother. I'm forty years old.’

‘You wet-behind-the-ears kids, I lived to see my grandchildren.’

‘Quiet, children. This one has lived through over three hundred years.’

‘This is complete chaos. If you're born again, you should count your age from when you were reborn.’

‘You brats, don't speak informally to your elders.’

‘Are you picking a fight?’

Among these childish magician elitists arguing and demanding respect from each other based on their adult age, Ayra, who had only lived twenty years before dying, kept his mouth shut.

Moreover, these people weren't even given any special destiny. The abundance of reincarnators and transmigrators was simply due to a crazy dragon creating a hole in the dimensional wall. To be precise, most of the mages, including Ayra, were souls that had somehow passed through that dimensional wall's hole.

With so many transmigrators and reincarnators around, traces of other dimensions' existence remained all over this world. The very name of the mage city 'Labyrinth' was clearly named by someone who was either a reincarnator or transmigrator.

In that sense, the stat window appearing before Ayra's eyes wasn't completely incomprehensible.

The transparent pebble that had been repeatedly flashing 'Hi' like a digital sign and the 'stat window' floating above his colleague Shinjae's head were unmistakably elements from Earth's culture. However, he couldn't understand how these things had come to appear. Ayra clutched his throbbing head and searched through his confused memories.

The Labyrinth.

This city of mages, true to its name, was infamous for being a place from which one could never leave once entered, but to mages, it was practically paradise. The same was true for Ayra, who had lived there continuously since entering at age six until he was over twenty.

He would have lived there until his death if not for the sudden news that his family had all died in a carriage accident at their estate.

Upon receiving this thunderbolt of news, Ayra hurriedly suspended his research and rushed to the estate with his colleague Shinjae. He thought the grief wouldn't be too severe since they were his second family and he had spent so much time apart from them, but perhaps the shock had unconsciously been greater? Throughout the funeral, his condition gradually worsened until on the final day of the ceremony, Ayra collapsed while watching the family tomb being constructed.

And now, after regaining consciousness, these strange phenomena had occurred.

"You collapsed right after the funeral ended and were deathly ill."

Shinjae placed a worried hand on his forehead and then sighed in relief, saying the fever had gone down. When Ayra groaned and raised his upper body, the strange thing that had been sitting on his chest seemed to roll off before floating up in the air like a bubble. Shinjae pointed at it and asked.

"But what is this?"

While Ayra had been wondering if it was just a hallucination only he could see, it seemed Shinjae could see it too, so it wasn't an illusion. Shinjae showed interest as he examined the 'WoW' text that appeared on the unidentified object's body, noting that it was unfamiliar writing. Ayra glanced at the stat window still floating beside his colleague's head. After making a quick judgment in that brief moment, he casually said,

"It's an artificial spirit I created as an experiment."

"Well, the way it's made, and its roundness... even the way the magic is woven, it's definitely your style."

At Shinjae's words, Ayra examined the spirit form floating before him in detail. His colleague was certainly right. Its appearance matched his taste, and the way the magic was woven was identical to his own. Even the use of English words like 'Hi' and 'WoW' was the same. Even the stat window was identical to the UI from the game he had loved so much in his previous life that he never missed a daily login for 365 days a year.

But no matter how much he thought about it, he had no memory of creating something like this. Ayra pressed his throbbing forehead. Though he tried to search his memories, all that remained were vague and negative feelings of extreme pain, difficulty, anger, despair, disgust, and unpleasantness...

It was at that exact moment that a new window appeared before his eyes.
