Do you remember when I told you I have a 3D modeler and a couple of guys who run a small business who printed the Mary figures for me? Kanbe met them all, by lucky chance, in Rome!
The girl who does the post-production, her name is Sharon, is a fan of Astarion from the Baldur's Gate video game.
When she made Mary for me, I gave her a fanart of Astarion in Victorian dress (the last two images, are from my modest Instagram gallery). She liked it so much that she commissioned this larger A4 drawing, which will be colored (today) traditionally! But instead of money, I asked her if she could give me a discount on a reprint of the Mary figurine, as I'm saving up for the next character figurine , but would like to be able to make at least two more Mary figures available (also to pay my air conditioning bills ๐ฅฒ). She told me that not only will she give me a nice discount but she'll also do a test coloring of a Mary figurine! ๐ When it's finished, I'll show you the final result!
So I can say it's an exchange of works, an art trade, and I'm happy to do it!
For the commission, I created six pose ideas; Sharon chose #1, which comes from a scene in the game where Astarion actually says "Cute!" referring to the flower. I will use the edges of the sheet of paper that I cut as a palette for testing my markers and pens. Sharon wanted the "quail" jacket ๐ but without the necklace. Because she printed a figurine exactly like that! It's gorgeous!๐ณ
