I'm not sure how anybody could not see the change in the DeS fluted armour, looking at them side by side. Even without the helmet change, the original is very clearly an archetypical German Maximillian armour, I think I've even seen the exact pieces they used for reference in maybe the Tower of London collection or the Wallace Collection, whereas the remake is more in a fantasy style, lower waistline, no curved breastplate, almost looks more Italian. Like almost all the aesthetic changes in the remake, it's a lot more generic.
