I know this is blasphemous lol, but in certain games with secrets and puzzles, I have always looked to KB's walkthroughs because he's a completionist. Tbh, that's why I wanted GoW to win because I'm currently playing it and I was looking forward to his guide. Oh well...

I like the idea that the Extra Credits Patreon is doing for nominations. They ask supporters base video suggestions around a theme, i.e. this time they asked for topics based around "Exploration". It doesn't have to be absolute, just something to inspire people to change things up, like Cinco de Mayo is coming up so we could have Mexico as a theme for the next nominations or something like that.

Lol, I haven't voted for or suggested any of the Myst or Zelda titles. I'm speaking more from a current gen Action Adventure or ARPG stand point. I found your channel during your Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin playthrough. Yet, I love tons of your content that is different from that. It just seems to me that the audience demographic has switched to a more pc/retro fan base and current gen stuff is being shelved by the voting. Btw, I was born in '81 so im with the retro and pc stuff. Idk...just flying off the top of the head. No worries. The winner is the winner no matter what. Everybody has a chance to vote.

I would argue that Papers Please is not a significant demographic shift from Myst at all. Myst and Zelda not winning is more likely to be evidence of burnout from having those games exclusively win for like a year. Every Myst sequel, especially Uru, is also progressively less popular than the originals. There has not been any significant turnover among the population of Patreon supporters here.

I think some of it is wanting to see some diversity - everybody and their brother is doing a God of War playthrough right now. It's a fantastic game, I'm loving playing it and watching let's plays and I'd enjoy watching KB play it for sure, but it makes sense people are looking for variety.

It seems as if the audience demographic has drastically changed since or before the Myst Series playthroughs. Things seem sort of unbalanced. I thought of suggesting an improvised voting system like genre first then game or something like that but I think the numbers would win no matter what...oh well.
