Loved the reaction, this arc was the one that cemented this series in my all-time favorites, and the rest of the season really follows it well. Really liked how Lin Ling and Yang Cheng both became heroes by impersonating other heroes, then taking extremely different paths to get to the top 10. Even their theme songs couldn't be more different.

2025-11-06 20:24:23 +0000 UTCOne thing I think a lot of people miss with Uncle Rock's plan: Uncle Rock runs the company that owned the "E-Soul" title. That means he benefited from either E-soul becoming stronger and more famous. Old E-Soul was becoming old news, so Rock's plan was to use Yang Cheng to become a rival, bring in a new audience... And then kill him, sending all of the trust value to Old E-Soul to make him in the public eye again. But Yang Cheng lived, and turned dark from the experience. And Rock realised that he could control Yang Cheng even easier than an actual stoic hero, so he changed his target to Old E-soul. No matter which E-Soul died, the other one would gain all the Trust Value and increase Rock's profit.

Generic ====== AC: AC refers to years after the founding of the Hero Affairs Commission, After Commission. Lin Ling: new Nice Yang Cheng: new E-Soul Shang Chao: Yang Cheng's friend Firm Man: The dude that couldn't sit down due to the powers that were given by his fans. Timeline ======= 20 AC: Yang Cheng (new E-Soul) is saved by old E-Soul 33 AC: Yang Cheng starts working as an E-Soul actor 34 AC: TREEMAN corporation was founded by the father of Shang Chao (Shang De) 34 AC: old Nice signs a contract with TREEMAN group 34 AC: Firm Man saves little Wolf Girl. 36 AC: Firm Man becomes the 10th ranked hero due to defeating a villain (the one killed by mistake when getting out of a shop). Also signs a contract with TREEMAN group. 36 AC: This is also the same year Yang Cheng arc takes place and the place we see Enlighter for the first time. He is hired by Shang Chao (Yang Cheng friend that got killed with the gun). 38 AC: Moon and old Nice start dating 38 AC: Lin Ling starts working for the advertisement company 41 AC: old Nice suicides, Lin Ling becomes new Nice and the rest of the arc takes place (Enlighter, Firm Man dropping from rank with Nice taking his place, Moon's death). 41 AC: Moon is assassinated 15 days before the 21st Heroes Tournament.

2025-11-03 17:16:42 +0000 UTCYeap he did hesitate to save his friend for a moment and that pretty much sent him into a spiral and got corrupted by Uncle Rock. And yes, Moon was murdered by him. Now is a good time to also mention that the studio has been releasing before each arc teasers with the different heroes with scenes either from their past or small spoilers from the upcoming arcs. Commission was created due to a certain event that took place. It's the one showcased in the vid above. Old E-Soul was truly a hero. That's why he also mentioned that it doesn't care who is under his mask, because to be hero for him is also an ideal he has to uphold.
