It wasn't her hesitating or anything like that. She was surprised in the moment that he told her that cause she wasn't expecting it. So it threw her off like he said, but she wasn't miserable. She didn't have time to answer him before everyone came back. But, just hang in there and wait!

2025-09-21 23:03:58 +0000 UTCI don’t think Waguri is hesitating, I think she was a bit shocked to hear that out of the blue and then she didn’t have the time to say it back since everyone came back, after that they probably didn’t have the chance to be alone. In another sub I saw Rintaro when he’s going home says that he “dropped that on her and ran away” maybe hinting that he avoided being alone with her after the others came back?
