Finally, A progress report!

Not to give excuses, but IRL stuff has been kicking my butt pretty hard again lately. I've been stalling on giving some updates until I had some real substantial news, but basically two months slipped by me doing so. It's made me realize I need to make some *substantial* changes to the way I work and organize things.

First off It's pretty clear at this point I've bitten off more than I can chew in terms of personal workload, so the last couple months I've been in recruiting mode to get some additional help. So now, I've hired some new Unity devs/programmers to work on gameplay aspects and help actually build out the games. So far they've prototyped out some minigames and gameplay systems going into the next couple episodes.

I've also found a couple more writers to join on. One of them already has a short story out featuring Margarita and is now currently working on writing for the upcoming episodes.

I've also been testing the waters with new artists by ordering some occasional one-off art commissions.

And also I've started getting some environmental concept artists to help actually flesh out the setting and worldbuilding.

Anyway though, the key thing in all that was the mention of new unity devs towards the beginning. I'm still trying to power through Amaryllis's episode (though I've got some help now) but for Noire's episode and what lies beyond, I'm hoping to be able to hand off the reigns of programming and some of the more time-consuming unity tasks so I can personally focus on being the director/producer of a larger team and also put more time into communications/marketing so I don't keep having these month-long drops where we keep disappearing off the face of the earth with no visible updates.

Speaking of visible updates I've also been thinking more about how to do more regular/frequent content updates. I'm *really* exited to work on more gamplay heavy stuff like Noire's episode, but as you can see, stuff like that is taking a really long time, and when I initially started working on an 'episodic' series I was kind of hoping to pull off the opposite (frequent small updates.) Right now I'm toying with the idea of maybe doing 'mini-episodes' Like really short single-scene VNs as free HTML5 games on newgrounds or something. Or possibly just putting out more art, comics and such.

I don't really have the budget coming in to do for that to be sustainable yet, but I think I can get the ball rolling out of my own pocket funding a couple small things to see how well they're received, while we're still working on the current episodes.
