Progess Report

^Thats Elsie, the nerdy girl in front of the school, who is supposed to be my first AI Character.
Sorry everyone for the delay- but I kindaaaaa underestimated the task and I was probably A BIT too optimistic. I finally finished the dialogue-maker in the "offline-mode" to ~90%. You can already basically write stuff and set conditions.
SEE HERE:

The next step is doing some upload/download possible, so users can upload their own stories. I'll do the animations (mouth-moving while talking) and (laughing if you write [s:laugh] etc. after the update. Since I dont want to delay things more than I have to.
For those who are interested: I started with the Day/Night cycle.
(So characters can be on different places on different times)
The Next Update will contain 1 new Enemy (Elsie) Who inflicts Ballgag-Debuff (half done) Also I will add an Interface to Elsie - so players can edit her AI freely. Next im gonna add the "talking = reducing remaining time" feature on Elsie Then I'll fix bugs and if everything works, I'll QUICKLY add the same things for every other student - and I'll add many many students... so people have a good playground on adding dialogues to their own AI girls.
Those who arent interested in creating AI, they can simply enjoy a game with a lot of character depth :-)
Now I want to know something:
Do you care about this?

2019-02-19 01:38:14 +0000 UTCThe idea of community made custom dialogues sounds amazing, but im afraid it would be worthless if there are no new animations/girls, because I think animations/girls are the most important thing about the game and what keeps the player motivated, since they want to find ways to trigger or unlock a scene. For that purpose, a basic personality suffices. Of course it is amazing if it's a good and complex personality, but without the animations it won't be different from a regular story or visual novel. If you find a way to hook animations to the custom dialogue editing, then that'd be amazing of course but a consequence of this could be that you have to make an easy tool for players to animate or edit existing animations as well or just provide tons of animations to pick from(also i dont even want to imagine all the possible bugs with event conditions and so on). The idea of making it an open source thing sounds great. But I think the majority of patrons just want more girls and more animations. From a developers point of view, the idea of making some kind of open source npc dialogue sounds super interesting though so I suggest you keep doing that if it motivates you, but also throw in a girl or some animations/extension for an existing girl in the old fashioned way monthly so that the patrons don't feel abandoned. Good luck! I love your game a ton and I think it's one of the best ones out there! I hope you'll stay motivated and eager to work on it. And the more good updates you make, the more patrons will come (im pretty sure the patron numbers exploded after the december release). And if you want to get work done by the community, you could- after you've provided a tutorial on how to do things for your game which can be easily imported- host a contest for an animation or a npc and make a custom animation/extension of an existing character as price.

2019-02-18 08:47:58 +0000 UTCI will say that November and December was good active times, I feel an update or comments ever week should be reasonable

2019-02-18 08:41:12 +0000 UTCI mean it's been over a week since this post was posted and we haven't seen or heard anything yet, we normally get something about once a month. What kind of content creator doesn't even comment or update THEIR OWN PAGE?? This page is what your money comes from after all....

2019-02-18 08:35:56 +0000 UTCI would love more content ... deep personality isnt bad either . I dont really care about making my own dialogue . Your dialogues are fine

2019-02-15 01:13:52 +0000 UTCmaybe u can update some new characters so that people can play it first, then optimized their AI step by step

2019-02-14 23:00:50 +0000 UTCPeople just want update to be faster, they probably dont realize how much progress you made on this, they just see that there's not yet an update

2019-02-12 01:07:22 +0000 UTCI hope you don't take this the wrong way, but it'd be best to try and do work on the game in proportion to the votes (EX: at the time of this, it's 53% No, but lots of personality, 28% Yes, creativity, 14% Yes, I would try, and 6% No, other content; you would focus on adding base personality to the characters, sprinkling in AI/customization features, and the personality would include the "other" content undoubtedly meaning brand new animations and straight-to-the-point sexual content), but make sure you factor in what you would like to do as well. The customer does NOT always know best, it often gets proven that WE don't know what we really want. :) P.S. I just thought of this because I'm writing as I think, but you could further poll about "A.I." by probing into the possible iterations, including that it may lay more in customizations (such as difficulty, how often moves are used, etc.), or in adapting to the player instead of the player going through what many in this poll no doubt felt was the "troubling" or "grueling" effort of coming up with their own dialogue and telling the character what to do. Honestly speaking, I think that's just it - when it comes to modded games like Skyrim, are most players doing the intensive customizations themselves? Nope, they pick from a catalog/myriad of options already created by others, and possibly tweak it a little bit themselves. That's what I think should be implemented: a system in which players can create "mods/modifications" that can be reviewed and implemented by other players, possibly with the "online" interface you mentioned.
