Dev Plans (June 1st - August 1st)

Hello Backers!

A lot has happened since the last Dev Plan post. The games main CG artist has left, and I had to spend some time finding a new CG artist. With that I found 5 candidates that I think are suitable replacements. There will be another post for backers to vote on that in a bit. For now here's a teaser of their art.

Next off, I wanted to give you guys a small sneak peak at something I've been working on for a little bit now. Outside of City of Secrets, I've started working on another game. It's technically a sequel, but it's more of an independent story that just takes place in the same universe/location directly after City of Secrets.

Here's a small teaser concept for what the combat will probably look like. (Characters are placeholders.)

I want this game to be even higher quality than City of Secrets, but since it's in a super rough state right now I'll wait to talk more about it until later.

Anyways, going back to City of Secrets, Dungeon 4 has finally been finished! This means that the main story now only has 3 dungeons left! Over half of the dungeons have been finished! This also moves us into the final act, as from now on the main story will begin marching towards our Main Villain and his mysterious plot.

Overall, I was satisfied with the quality of the latest release. Thanks to the bug testers who found a majority of the bugs beforehand, there wasn't a lot left to be discovered. Hopefully players enjoyed the last release!

Anyways, let's move onto this next release!

1. Main Story Implementation: Dungeon 5

For this next release we'll be going right into Dungeon 5, introducing our next Antagonist, Alex!

A scientist with a unenthusiastic attitude, he? loves to experiment and wouldn't mind adding our Protagonists to his subject list. His? dungeon will focus on more transformation themes, which I hope players will enjoy. There's currently a dev poll in the discord for Tier 3+ members to vote on, so if you're a Possessor+ tier make sure to vote on which traps you want to show in this dungeon!

2. Feature: Emma Casual Outfit

Same as the last dev plan, unfortunately this feature implementation was a bit more complicated than originally planned, but I'm hoping to implement it this release.

3. Implementing Backers Choice

As always I'll be implementing the backers choice. Honestly this time it's pretty close so I have no clue who the winners will be. It could be because I changed it to multiple select? Who knows. Regardless the top 2 will get events in the next release.

4. Next Game Development

For once the Backer's Choice isn't the last thing in the dev plan!!! This is a pretty small add-on, but I'll be putting some hours into getting the base logic for the next game set-up. If players are interested in hearing more about the plans for the next game let me know!

But for now the plan is to work on this on the side and get the base framework functional, so once City of Secrets is finished (or maybe while I'm working on it) then I'll be ready to transition to this game as well.
