Added 2018-06-04 23:03:39 +0000 UTCI've always know that nude photography is very difficult, because everything has to be on point, from everything about the model (hair, makeup, skin) to lighting.
I figure I'll need to do more studying to get my nudes up to par. Adding in a firearms into it tastefully, is even harder.
For future shoots, I'm probably gonna ask models to bring lingerie, if just to add more context.

Yep, nudes are difficult. She's lovely, and the picture is fine, but you're right, without context, even a minimally implied context, it comes up short. In your work with nudes and firearms, context is one of the things that you usually do better than most. The location/set and even pose can also adds context. Removing the firearm, wardrobe and set will really test your photography fundamentals and thereby help you stretch and grow as an artist. Bravo Zulu, keep up the good work!
