Always happy when the art is appreciated:) It may not be what every single person wants, but if artists let that stop them, nothing would ever get created. I think there should be a fair exchange of give and take on creativity!

Honestly, I only like it when they look as pregnant as the blonde and brunette do right now. If it were up to me, it would be more about women getting pregnant. I understand you want to branch out, but I think the main focus should be the pregnancy gummis that's been there from the start. I'm okay to see where this goes, and I'm sure it may bring in some interested viewers. If you're looking to increase the borders of what you could do with this world, I'd say we have had a lot to do with our main characters in their educational places. Why not explore their fun side. Introducing new settings and characters can do wonders! How do suburban areas deal with the swelling invasion? Maybe they go on a Zen like retreat where they try to quarrel their inner lust but it's run by one of those sex villains seen in the first two issues. Food for thought

Really appreciating the civil discourse here all around. Just a note of correction: Frooh is the original creator/writer. Sidneymt was the first artist to pick up the project. He does still operate here on patreon, and I just want to avoid confusion :)

Objectively I can't disagree with any of the points you presented, Tom. But it is with this all in mind there is one item you didn't really address, and that is Monocle themselves being very open and willing to accommodate criticisms from fans and in some cases make adjustments/inclusions to the story at large from said input. Personally, that openness and generosity is not something that should be seen as a negative. It has been in fact Monocle's willingness to engage with fans and take feedback seriously that they are to be commended. Rather then seen as some hindrance to their own artistic ability. I would even be so bold as to say that Monocle is perhaps one of the most open and engaging creators I have ever encountered across multiple different platforms. And that should be applauded. Now should that ever change. And Monocle decide that this level of openness to fans is no longer conducive for themselves or their comic. Then yes, they have every right to tell said critics to "shove off" and at which point everyone will need to decide if the subject matter still fits their tastes or if they need to respectfully move on.

From my personal standpoint, artists - and creators in general - have the ability to wow and amaze audiences with skills & talents which I do not possess. Consequently, I respect an artist's decision to expand their repertoire with occasionally exploring new ideas. If weren't for this curiosity, humans might not have evolved passed carvings on cave walls. Supporting a creator monetarily in this situation does not give me the right to dictate what they can and cannot do, unless a creator explicitly gives the supporter the choice via polls, requests or commissions, but I don't think this is the case here. It's also not like I could go and do it myself in the way I wanted it to be done, due to the lack of skill on my own part. I have supported - and still support - many artists, over many years that focus on both content I do like, and other stuff that doesn't interest me yet does for others. If a permanent and completely different change in focus happens and it's not to my tastes, then sure, I respectfully move on. However, to attempt to quash the exploration of tangental creativity on the first appropriate occasion seems unfair, disingenuous and disrespectful to the artist themselves and to those who actually like what others don't.

Awesome points. I think doing bi-weekly updates would allow Monocle to branch out and test other story concepts, inflation ideas and really expand the universe of Swelling Invasion to include other things. While this argument between fans is unsettling, this could be an opportunity in disguise for our artist to expand to different plots, species/types of aliens and make for an overall richer world.

I completely echo this. I think a lot of the fuss regarding this installment of Chapter 4 is based on a lot of fans/Patreons thinking "didn't we give our feedback and settle this during the last chapter?" While I sympathize with the desire to branch out and involve other forms of inflation and cater to different tastes, it doesn't sit to well (my opinion) to interject it into a storyline whose premise doesn't smoothly include full body ballooning like this. I can see there being a side story that could explain the non-pregnant inflation and totally cater to those fans. But the core Swelling Invasion arc has developed and gained fandom through belly and often included breast inflation, not full body ballooning. Personally, I'm willing to pitch in a little more in the way of Patreon contributions if it helps our Monocle work on multiple story lines simultaneously. Right now it seems apparent that there's no way to please everyone.

You clearly want to add different types of inflation but a lot of people want to stay with the classic style so how about a compromise the main SI story stays classic style but you make a some side stories of "new breeds" that explore different types of aliens that do different types of inflation that way everybody can get what they want

Hey Monocle and really all other fellow patreons! While I empathize with wanting to branch out the optics of all this just feels more like you are pulling defeat from the jaws of victory all just for this abstract goal of instituting "variety". Personally I've tried to go into this with an open mind but after reading through the other comments and reflecting personally on the matter there is two things expressed by others that I do wish to echo. First, I agree that it does feel like there is some major disconnect between a large swath of fan expectations and what you personally want to deliver. Secondly, having personally been in the thick of it during the big kerfuffle regarding last chapter it does come across as somewhat tone deaf to immediately try and reintroduce the very same thing that divided the fandom so sharply just a few months ago.
