MAY PLANS & UPCOMING ABSENCE (UPDATE)

HELLO GANG hope everyone’s doing well!! May is nothing short of an INSANE month for me so I wanted to give a rundown of what’s going on & what I’m trying to accomplish currently!

I’ve mentioned it here and there but this is my official announcement that from May 22nd onward I will be on surgery & recovery leave! I have 4 weeks booked off from my part time job- but I’ve never undergone such an intense procedure and I don’t want to promise that I’ll be back on artwork before then because truly I have no idea how I’ll feel. Currently my main focus is doing as much queue & reward work as possible beforehand so I don’t have a pileup when I’m officially back & healed enough to start doing things at a somewhat usual pace. As such I’m going to put base work on a pause and focus on owed work leading up to the date so people are hopefully not waiting an extended period for rewards or any commissions. That being said there will absolutely be late rewards which I apologize for- I’ll do my best to get to them but I can’t promise a concrete timeline for them atm.

In regards to work I’m doing as the date approaches, I will be doing my absolute best to progress on things but I may end up a bit slammed irl unfortunately. My PT job unexpectedly shut down April 28th so I lost a handful of shifts, and I’m expecting with the backup there that I may have a busy schedule next week. I’ve already got two extras this week as well- all this considered I will be doing owed art as I’m able to but I’m also going to have a lot to tend to irl & prep, so the work pace may not be as speedy as I’d like it to be 😅 so thank you for bearing with me in advance!

Depending how that schedule looks & due to shift loss I maaaay have to take on a commission or two in the next week & ask that people are very lenient with me on completion time. It was something I was heavily trying to avoid (hence the very little new work I’ve been taking on during my catch-up the last couple months) but unfortunately nobody was expecting the lab closure which is a little stressful! And I want to make sure I’m covered for bills while I’m not working. If that’s something I do need to do I’ll have a post up for it asap.

As I’m in recovery I’ll keep you all updated! And OFC if there’s any work or posting I can do I’ll do my best to- I know being away for potentially a month is a lot to ask on something like Patreon but the patience & support while I’ll be out of commission truly means the world. 💛
