In an aligning of PERFECT timing, this was finished exactly two months from when I started the sketch in June- insane to think this took me two months (and nearly 35 hours) to complete but GODS every single second was so so worth it. DIDN’T THINK A MEME REDRAW WOULD GET SO COMPLEX but I wasn’t going to turn away inspiration when it struck!! Little birthday gift for Evie turned into a much larger thing but considering that this is. Probably one of the best pieces of my entire career so far I am so so glad I decided to go all out on the idea 💛

The vast majority of this piece is entirely hand painted & shaded- save for broad shading over markings, every stroke and every color was painted and blended (and painted and blended again) until it ended up here :”3 I tried SO many new techniques, poured over SO much reference material, and I think it seriously paid off with this. Getting to explore details to depths I have never so much as ATTEMPTED was so so rewarding and I feel like I’ve come out of this project with some refined skills I never expected to have as much fun or ease with!!

Tutorial breakdowns will be in the works for specific areas (LIKE ALL THAT CLOTHES SHADING THAT I’M SOOOO PROUD OF) and as soon as I sort out how to best edit a 40 minute long speedpaint IT WILL BE YOURS!!
