The sun was ablaze in the crisp, clear blue sky. Triss could feel its warmth radiate on her cool skin. Even the water was cool to the touch. The Witch had been looking forward to this moment for days now. Three days and three nights Triss has spent in the saddle traveling around Velen looking for a mushroom of all things. She needed this elusive fungi for her latest experiment yet the only recorded information about its location was found in some crusty old book.
According to the book the mushroom would only grow in a very select spot deep in the swamps of Velen when the moon is at its apex. Yet even Triss had her doubts about the text’s accuracy. Still, the witch would not have expected the ordeal she had to go through just to get it.
Setting off from Novigrad, Triss suspected that this mushroom hunt would take no more than a day - two at most - that she’d head to the swamp, find it, pick it and head on back to the hustle and bustle of Novigrad. However that was far from what transpired.
Turns out the crusty old book wasn’t just full of lice but shit as well as all of the spots named in the text were completely wrong. Ths mushroom was nowhere to be found. Yet Triss pushed on, refusing to turn back empty handed.
Speaking to the brain-rotted residents of numerous backwater villages Triss was able to narrow down her search to a few points. But one can imagine the dangers of a lone Witch wandering through the swamps at night. Danger lurks around every bent tree and waist-deep pool of water.
Triss could never escape the feeling that she was being watched by something in the bushes. But all she caught were soft glowing eyes in the dark that disappeared every time she looked in their direction. She’s had enough encounters with the local monsters to know what usually happens next.
Thankfully though, the witch never ran into any monsters of the night. And on the third night, she found her mushroom sitting nonchalantly in a cave by the water side, hidden from view by a spider web of river weeds.
Finally, her journey was over and she could head home.
On her way down from Noviograd to Velen, Triss spotted a cool secluded spot away from the prying gaze of the local idiots that she could relax in. On her return journey she did just that.
Using the rest of her magic, Triss conjured up a table, some fruit and a bed for her to relax in as well as some food for her trusty steed. With everything in place, the witch slipped out of her dirty clothes and slipped into the cool water, with a sense of calm washing over her. Yet her small, cozy spot want’e as secluded as she thought as a small guest had interrupted her relaxing bath…

This is part one to this set. I decided to split it into two parts so I wouldn't get too bored with it by the end and just rush the next part. So I'll release the second part to this by the end on the month.
Ended up being really happy with how this one came out. The lighting and enviroment in particular. Plus any set with Triss is always a win.
You can find it in the Witcher folder of the archive.
Let me know what you guys think of it.
