3D Art & Animations

Hey everyone!
So my recent bout of RSI has been kind of interesting. I spent a week or two avoiding my computer and just resting my arm, but unfortunately this kind of injury takes months to heal properly, and I got bored really quickly. So I started messing around with my 3D Mort model and realized that this time around my arm isn't terribly sensitive to using my ergonomic mouse, and that I can also switch to using my non-dominant hand (something I wish desperately that I could do with with art) when my hand gets tired.

3D art was always something I wanted to break into after I went to school for it, and so I'm happy I've had the time to devote to it lately. I've made a lot of progress with Mort and should have him completely finished soonish. I've also got several gryphons, Noah, Erin, Lem and Lemnoodle and a couple of other characters in the works as well. My long term goal is to round up a few of my friends and fellow 3D artists and see if we could get some crowd funded vore animation projects off the ground.  Because of that, and because I don't want to complicate this comic campaign, I intend to offer 3D rewards as part of a different campaign. That way tax season will be a little easier to manage, I can pay artists in the future and I won't be taking income intended for the comic away from it.

I've decided to use Ko-fi for my 3D projects. Ko-fi has less fees than this platform and as I understand it, more payment options, but is a little lacking on management tools. They are going to be rolling out tiered subscription options in the near future, something very similar to Patreon, and recently integrated discord rewards. So I thought I'd give it a try while I'm starting up on the project! For June I'll be sharing the rewards with my Patreon rewards for $3 and up, so you can check out my Mort model as I work on finalizing the textures, add fur and finish the rig!

The comic will always be my priority, so you don't have to worry about me neglecting it in favor of 3D, partly because I'd like to animate the story, and having a good story board is super important and a comic is like a super detailed story board. The only time I will work on 3D instead of the comic is times like now, when I physically cannot draw. And during times like these I will try to make sure I have some sort of reward available for my supporters. I can't thank you enough for your support, and I truly appreciate your patience during this! Not being able to draw is as frustrating to me as it probably is to see the comic get slowed down.

Anyways, check out the new 3D folder in the $3 rewards!
And if you'd like to throw some money at the project, consider checking out my Ko-fi!

Possibly! Will have to discuss this with my 3D project partner!

Do you plan to share your models once finished? I'd love to play around with Mort for instance :D

looking good. Definitely a good start.

This takes me back to when I used to 3D model. Great job so far on the maw, especially. Those are never easy. I'm glad to see your finding ways to adapt when dealing with RSI. There's nothing more disheartening than not being able to create the things you want to create. I hope things get easier for you.
