Overall run of the comics.

Hey guys. I've been storyboarding the next couple of chapters and I realized that essentially I am not getting any closer to resolution, all I'm doing is coming up with more fun scenarios to put our MC in. And this put a worry in my head - are people gonna get tired? Maybe people don't really care about all the in-game misfortunes (or fortunes) MC has to go through, and just want to see how the story ends quicker? Maybe prolonging the run time would actually be damaging to viewer retention? Or do people enjoy seeing the day to day struggles of an NPC more, than they care about the ending?

Essentially the time limit in the VR world is 12 and a half days. By the end of chapter 3 barely 2 days have passed. I know exactly how to end this story, It's the question of whether you would like to see more game days thoroughly explored, or you would prefer a shorter montage of a few days of adventuring, leading to the conclusion. What do you think?

I would be absolutely fine with this continuing for several years.

The whole story would be preferable, but if you start seeing retention drop then it might be good to do two uploads a week, or you could skip over adventures and show what they got in other panels, then do a sequel series just showing the events

Thanks! It's mostly just that work/IRL stuff takes priority, and so far it's been difficult to find more time for this. But I still very much enjoy writing/creating NPCed. You know, after replying that I would like to finish this year I realized that the end of the year is only 26 weeks away, which only gives me two chapters to work with. That is not happening lol. Unless I actually start posting twice a week. Then maybe.

I am enjoying the series. Honestly the dungeon ark wasn't bad. It introduced fun elements like a new ally, Abby combat abilities (or lack of) and a brief hint of the developer's plot. If uploads were faster I wouldn't worry about the length of the story. (But please don't kill yourself with stress in doing more uploads). I suppose in hindsight, I would had given Abby the healer class immediately after joining Jake's party. As I fear Healer Abby's Healer class arc would repeat similar jokes to Cheerleading Abby. That is my 2 cents at least. Hope you continue having fun with creating the series!

Haha, I am always happy to receive positive feedback!

Sorry but I just love this story and you do such a great job

Haha! Well, the comics started late December I believe, so yeah we've got 2 full days in half a year, that does roughly translate to three years. Honestly, no. What this poll tells me is that people are willing to see more and are not too tired yet, which is good news. But comments like yours and some others do resonate with my thought process as well - the story should not be pure filler just for the sake of dragging out the runtime. All should serve a purpose. I feel like I let my mind wander a bit too much with the dungeon ark this chapter, it was supposed to be much more streamlined, but then I had more ideas I wanted to put in, which lead to me restructuring the whole thing etc etc. It's not bad as long as people still like it, but that's not how the process should work. What I'm thinking now is dedicate some time to plan everything (or as close to everything as possible) in advance, see what parts are important, what parts are fun to keep and where I can save some time. And keeping the time frame realistic, aiming to finish this year. Hopefully having everything planned will also improve the speed of my work, bringing us closer to those magical two uploads per week. There is a balance that needs to be maintained though as well, what I don't want is someone stumbling upon this comics two years from now and scrolling through it thinking "damn, this feels so rushed." But again, having everything planned out should help with that, so that's gonna be my new goal for now.

Well after seeing the poll results, it appears I am in the minority. Haha. I am not against seeing every 'day' but if my math is correct. 10 days x 15 parts with a 1 week upload schedule. That would be a 1050 days or close to 3 years to reach the end! Wow. That is quite the commitment!

Hmm...I do love the Alex struggles but I do feel the series is starting to drag a bit. Progress was very slow this chapter. Doesn't help updates are only 1 part per week. I do think a montage of a few days might be needed. Without one this series sounds like it would go for a year at this rate. Once the story is over, depending on the interest and the ending, you could always re-visit it. Or possibly follow a new character in a sequel. I think a new development needs to happen soon. Abby getting more control of her actions/speech or Jake getting very suspicious of Abby's behavior. That said please don't rush the ending.

Thank you very much!

You can probably try to put some ambiguity for the mental changes. Yeah the code is changing his voice line output but what happens inside is the part that is the most interesting for the character development. The character could use also some more level of freedom, maybe in some zone or storylines or an update? What happened in real life is also something that keeps interest. I personally feel like your comic is going pretty well. You're aiming for quality over quantity which is rare with AI and should be celebrated here. If you take your time to develop the story it could turn into something very precious that could be adapted with the techs that are coming soon. I say keep up the good work and use our feedback as you wish. We're here for your vision. AI is really a medium for your imagination and I think the level of support and investment here shows how much we like you.

This is a wonderful story so far. I can't wait to see how it continues and what else you have planned. I'm looking forward to many more chapters, the more the better.

Developer and more stuff are scheduled to appear, yeah. That's the point of the question as well - as soon as I introduce bigger cards in play, the story will have to come to end quicker. Some bigger story beats can only happen at the end. (Reaching high relationship stats, developer finding Abby, Jake finding out who Abby is, stuff like that.)

Isekai Senpai

Who knows? IRL only a few hours have passed due to the magical VR time dilation. Hopefully nothing bad, like turning into Abby! :)

Isekai Senpai

Love how the story is going

Joe

What is happening to his body irl?

Tbh I think that background is as important as ending. However rn it looks like story is stuck in one place. I honesty think that there is place for exploring but you must be braver with this. Like something more than "code forces him to act this way", for example episode with developer looking for bugs was interesting. But it's only my opinion
