when i read gentle saving ua in the manga, i sobbed. when i watched this episode the first time last summer, i sobbed. just now watching it again, i sobbed. i remember when this chapter of the manga came out, i was reading it, and when gentle popped up, i threw my phone down, stood up, and yelled "WHAT THE FUCK" 🤣😭 i was flabbergasted, and SO happy, bc gentle not getting redemption up until this point never sat well with me seeing him get his moment was SO good 😭 editing to add: i am SO impressed with the way y'all are remembering characters and their names, even if we haven't seen them in a while!

I love this episode and it is one of my favorites because it confirmed for me how strong I thought Gentle really was. He took down an entire prison of criminals with his quirk alone, and with La Brava's PLUS ULTRA? boost (from missing him), he was able to deflect the entire Coffin in the Sky, which is completely insane lol! It also validates their arc, which has mixed reviews, but this makes that part of the show valuable, which I appreciate Hori for doing. Those "quirky, annoying, cringe" villains from S4 are now heroes who saved the world and are very important to this story. There are so many more emotional episodes coming up this season that easily rival this, so I'm excited to watch the rest with you both!
