I love this episode! Kyo’s growth is one of my favorite parts of the series, and I really appreciate how you guys picked up on that. Also, Kyo’s dad did say those things to his mother—he was genuinely abusive, and it’s heartbreaking. I also love how so many people thought Akito would never let go, but watching her slowly begin to is, in its own way, really cathartic. I do wish we had gotten a bit more, though—the manga goes into so much more detail. A few scenes were skipped here and there, probably because season 3 was shorter than the first two, which is a little sad. Still, I’m so grateful we even got this remake at all! I can’t wait to see your reactions to the final two episodes—I’m really curious what you’ll think as everything comes together!
