2025-07-14 07:31:43 +0000 UTCgran torino handing the biggest generational teen crash out his cape and essentially saying "walk 'em down, nephew" is absolutely insane work. people forget deku literally mutilated his own fingers/arms, and when he couldn't do that anymore, tried to use his own MOUTH, just to prove a point to a classmate in a HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS FESTIVAL. the same deku also couldn't move in the last battle with shigaraki, so he decided to make black whip shoot from his MOUTH just to get to shigaraki again. gran torino setting a walking nuke of a hero on hate mode against a bunch of overpowered villains, making sure to tell the walking crash out 16 year old with 7 QUIRKS to run the generational fade for him, makes gran torino the biggest instigator π€£π

2025-07-13 04:35:42 +0000 UTCUgh, this scene with Deku and his mom just squishes my heart. π I love the imagery that shows how much Deku has grown. First with Deku and his mom holding hands and Deku's hands are now bigger than hers. Then it flashes back to him dressed up like All Might as a child and she's holding him in her arms and then cuts to him holding her now, telling her not to worry. He's still so young, but has changed so much. It's clear that he's going to be making his own choices from now on, for better or worse. This Deku is sort of a manifestation of all of Izuku's risky traits turned up to the max. His way of jumping into things without fully thinking them through, his willingness to sacrifice himself even though he's so important, his way of keeping things secret to protect other people, it's all understandable in the moment, but it's SO DANGEROUS and not at all sustainable. At least he has the top pros backing him, but as we saw him just now, he's operating alone. I'm with Inko - I don't like it.
