Fruits Basket - 2x23 REACTION!!

This play was quite impressive! The contrast between the narrator trying to push the story forward and the main crew just being themselves on stage was hilarious 😂 SEE Y'ALL NEXT WEEK FOR THE SEASON 2 FINALE!

Fruits Basket - 2x23 REACTION!!

Please don’t hate me but I would like to gently disagree with the tohru side of this 😅 I think she doesn’t want to let herself believe *she herself* is thinking that way about kyo. But my reasoning has spoilers for the guys so I’m so sorry I can’t explain with any detail 😭. But thank you for always keeping the guys on track!

Thanks a lot for your reaction! I watched Fruits basket for the first time back when the original 1st season was released and unfortunately they didn't release the continuation at that time. So when they decided to remake it I was planning to watch it again but was postponing it all the time. But with you I managed to finally watch the second season of this amazing story! Im curious to see what you are planning next after the final season! If you want to continue with more of a slice of life, but with very deep topics and great characters I might suggest to watch NANA. It's honestly my favourite anime of all time, uncovering very realistic and mature topics. It's also about music! (You watched sport anime, but not music one yet 😁).

Hey J&J, you both seemed a little confused at the end there with Kyo and Tohru, so here’s some clarity: neither of them can fully believe that the other might actually love them. When Tohru emotionally confesses that she doesn’t want Kyo to be locked away, she doesn’t finish her sentence, but the implication is clear (at least to some of us 😅). That moment throws Kyo off, and for the first time, he seriously considers that Tohru might have feelings for him. On the flip side, remember episode 17 during the class trip? Tohru starts to wonder if Kyo might leave her someday or “let go” of her. This is the first time we get real proof from her internal thoughts that she may be falling for him too. But she cuts herself off, just like Kyo did, because she refuses to believe the feelings could be mutual. That is why we have the scene at the very end of this episode with them standing next to each other but a split down the middle. Hope this helps reframe that whole scene in a more Kyoru-centered light! Also, it’s important to keep in mind that Kyo is set to be locked away after high school. He hasn’t “beaten Yuki in a fight,” which is part of the condition to escape that fate. And considering how much they’ve both matured, and rarely even fight anymore, it’s not looking good. That fact is essential to remember as you head into Season 3. All that said… Season 3. Full stop. I’ve probably watched this series ten times or more, and Season 3 still blows me away every single time. Every question you’ve had up until now? Answered, so buckle up, buttercup. #You'reSoNotReady.
