Therefor, bi can cover things such as pan (for ease of explanation or simply not wanting to identify further) the same way trans can in compass nonbinary or gender fluid

Pan is less biased I think. It’s not gender specific, almost like gender blind. Bi=preferences Pan=no preference (in a nutshell)

2025-10-17 21:36:08 +0000 UTCtommmm if you like pet sounds and 1960s psych u should listen to the beach boys sequel to pet sounds ‘smile’ and ‘smiley smile’. it was supposed to be brian wilson’s magnum opus but he had a breakdown so it was never fully finished and they put out as best of an album that they could. the sounds are so funny on the album i think you’d really appreciate the whimsy. btw sgt. peppers was my fave album i used to work in patcham and my commute would always involve listening to the mono version of that album. my fondest memory is building a version of mr kite’s circus out of lego with my dad as a kid😆

2025-10-11 08:29:35 +0000 UTCfrom what I know as an tumblrina from ye olde days of online pan/bi discourse, I always (personally) saw the difference between bi and pan is that: bisexuals have a specific preference for their partners, like having an interest in specific types of people for each gender. pansexual is when there's no preferences (or a preference regardless of gender) for any and all possible partners. for example: a bisexual person may have a thing for men who are taller and brunette, but also for shorter women with blonde hair. a pansexual wouldn't have a change in preference between either. as long as they feel attraction. (I'm aroace so I apologize if I come at this angle odd)

Bisexuals tend to specifically be attracted to women and men, they might like specific feminine or masculine quallities in a partner. For pansexuals, gender isn't a factor in attraction.

Bisexuality in its purest form is liking two or more genders, but having a preference between gender, or having specific differentiations between. Also genderqueer (or they/thems) people have been around for a long time. Pan people have no preference. Liking a man, woman, or person is all the same to them. They have no preference. I’d be happy to answer more questions about queer identities. New episode should be Jack and Tom talk to a sexuality and gender studies researcher.

Legally we can refuse service to anyone. unless its on a discriminatory basis, as we have a legal responsibility to make sure of safety on our premises. I had to guiltily cut off a woman eventually after she told me her husband had spent their savings on prostitutes which originally i had given her a free shot, as you would. 18 years of marriage and 3 kids, I have a few times demanded an apology for their crimes or ill 'av em out. (Sounds mad but one time a guy threatened to spit on me after yelling at me "Where's my (Redacted) Heineken" as i was opening it among other things not for the weak) you hear and see a lot of stuff. part of the love and hate, nothing like bartending in Britain, especially in slightly more expensive restaurant by day, club at night hybrids. 2. Yes, There is what we call "Mental health first-aiders" but they're usually more likely to use that qualification for the team. (Every bartender has a tragic back-story, its law) but its nice to have. its like a`1-3 day course the company(If you work in a wokey chain) usually pay for. other slightly not sad storys also include; Once saw a guy try chug a pint, vomit in the glass and shit himself in actual record time. I've refused service for a lady who chastised me for giving her tap water when she asked for (Non-specific) water as if i pissed in the cup and threw it over her.

To be bisexual is to feel attraction to any gender even when u don’t know them!

2025-10-05 20:10:52 +0000 UTCcommon misconception bisexual people don't date trans and non binary people. my understanding is that bi is a broader umbrella term for multiple identities. bi means attraction to all with or without sex preferences and pan is a nicher identity that falls under the category of bi that is defined as attraction to all regardless of sex (so no specific sex/gender preferences). some people also through omni in the mix which is attraction to all with preference, for example they may prefer dating men over women. a lot of people feel the nicher micro labels aren't really necesarry because bi already covers them all, but really it's just down to an individuals preference and how they choose to label themselves.

2025-10-05 19:48:48 +0000 UTCbi trans person who used to identify as pan here. this might be controversial bc i know not everyone agrees but. there's basically no real difference. different people who use the different labels may feel that one doesn't fit for them bc to them there's nuance, and that's fine, but bi has always been used, by people who feel that it fits for this, to simply mean that they're attracted to people of multiple/all genders. just like pan is used. pan was created by people who feel like bi isn't inclusive enough, and that's fine, they feel that the word doesn't accurately describe their attraction. totally ok. it's just up to preference and how you feel about how each label fits for your identity. i used to say im pan because i am attracted to people of any gender. i have my preferences, but at the end of the day i fall in love with people for everything else about them and their gender is pretty much irrelevant. i could still say im pan, but i kind of resent that bi has been shoved aside and seen as uninclusive or especially as trans exclusionary when it has a ton of history of being used in many different ways for different people. a lot of ways people describe the difference tends to exclude trans people, like if you say bi doesn't include nonbinary people that's just not true because that implies that 1. nonbinary people all have a specific look that is obviously clockable as nonbinary. and 2. nonbinary people are all strictly a set third gender and never have nuance or overlap with man or woman. both of which are kinda bullshit and minimize the complex experience of gender. and you say bi doesn't include trans people and pan does you're just saying that trans people aren't really the gender that they feel they are so... i have beef with some of the definitions people claim are the only real and accurate ones. i really think it comes down to which label you specifically are comfortable with for describing your own experience.
