2025-07-25 14:49:23 +0000 UTCto clear up a misconception - antimatter and matter arent sort of "opposites" in the way described, but what happens is when they meet and "annihilate" each other, 2 gamma waves with energy are formed and so the mass of the particles is transferred into energy (Einstein's E=MC^2 explains how mass and energy are sort of interchangable). This means that mass/energy is still conserved, but not because antimatter and matter are "opposites" in the way you're thinking about it! Hope this was interesting
