Being really into Tyler The Creator’s song Gone Gone / Thank you and listening to it before starting this Patreon episode and Tyler talking about wasted potential and then hearing Tom’s rant about that as well is a little odd and jarring in a roundabout Deja vu kind of way.

Jasper Finley

My 7 year old little brother saw me listening to the podcast and insisted that I commented a complimented your hippo poster in the background

I really liked this episode, Im going to school for marketing (advertisement and branding) and it made me reflect on what really brings me happiness. It's not marketing but I think for many creative people there's a point when you need to prioritize the desire to do well In life over fulfilling projects. It sounds like you two relate to that. Just made me think that I need to create space to do things that are fulfilling for me creatively.

20:50 - This is the reason I reeally think before commenting on things. People making videos are also people and comments about their personality, appearance and whatnot can be (first of all, disrespectful) triggering for them. I really resonate to Tommy's views on social media as someone who kinda has a phone addiction at this point, but it's also important to think about the positives about it all, just so you don't get consumed by this anger for something you have no control about.

Stu

tommy is so so right with how the internet has manipulated people when there vulnerable it seriously opened my eyes

desii!!

I heavily agree with the internet being worrying, the amount of hate people feel comfortable giving because its anonymous is crazy. I don't know how much this applies to you guys, but I've been really bothered by how appearance-driven social media is. Nowadays it feels like artists can only get their work pushed out there if they're conventionally attractive.

Sulleni

holy fuck, as someone whos favorite band is waterparks, what the hell-

Tux

listened to this with personalised spacial audio, was fun to hear tom and jack swap places when i turned my head

Josh

One person who you wish you were closer to but you no longer are/don’t really talk anymore

Wilbur Clukey

I loved the conversation about your home towns. Having moved twice as a kid meant that my critical phases of development are kind of split all over the place, and I don't really feel like I have one 'home town'. You guys really made me realise why I tend to draw toward things that capture that sense of a split identity.

Kiki vh

Hoping for the couples therapist as the guest next week with the teases you guys gave 🤞 absolutely love the deep talks

Lumpe Monke

Tom idk if you read comments on here but I feel like you'd like the song Content 4 U by TWRP. Feels relevant to waht you say about social media and content creation. The music video is great too, really adds to it.

Feli

this really resonated with me as an artist myself and whenever you guys have this kind of talks on the podcast i get really really motivated to create more, so thanks!🙂💛

venla

Yk what bump it up to 8 dollars this is so good

Isley Vale

I just re listened to the first episode of the podcast and there's such a juxtaposition and I love it, I love the mix of humour and silly silly fun times but also the introspective stuff, it's similar to watching a 2021 tommyinnit video and then watching a square video and it's so great to see two people I've been a fan of and looked up to for so long be able to be vulnerable and open up I love shut up I'm talking

Tess

Petition for them to have Mumbo Jumbo on the podcast to talk about film making!

Lily Loughlin

i did the same bogey thing to my new flatmates firts week of uni

Josh

Damn this has me thinking about my home town, lived there as a toddler and it still means the world to me. I’ll say it again, I love these conversations.

Alison

One thing I always have to remind myself is… if you’re going to a gallery, you would never tell the artist how to paint differently- so don’t let somebody else tell you how to create differently! The only person that will ever truly understand why you’ve created what you have, is yourself. And for the who think they can be your boss and tell you what to make and how to make it, those are the people you don’t want the anyway. You have so many people who want to support this new journey of yours! I think you guys are doing awesome and have really created something beautiful! Keep up with the creative work and take those leaps because the journey and the end will be SO rewarding!

Evie

this is one of my fave patreon episodes. it’s so insightful and raw, and it’s completely genuine. i hope you know how much value this authenticity has, and that we are loving it! thank you as always, lads

Ophookie

its so interesting to hear you guys talk about how being a public figure affects your life. as a person who's not a public figure like you guys its kind of sad to hear that you can't just leave your house without being interacted with but on the other hand it sounds incredible because you have the opportunity to interact with new incredible people every day and that's so cool definitely sounds like a double edged sword or whatever they call it

Catnop

Bro i loved you in yalp

BigMace

reference to public podcast: prime numbers are my favourite

Josh

i really loved this episode. i think it’s particularly interesting to hear you guys’(and especially tom’s) reflections about internet and youtube and algorithms, as someone who also was 16 in 2020, watching everything, and is now 20, and reflecting over the turn it has taken since then. i find the pandemic and the internet subcultures from that time very interesting, as the pandemic was sort of a catalyst for a lot of tendencies already existing. it is great and inspiring to see you guys move on from the algorithmic «hellscape», over to more «human»creative passions<33 great week for the podcast both here and on spotify. really enjoying it

Ingeborg

Thankyou for this great podcast

Sarah Anne Dixon-Hamilton

have to agree with everyone and say this is one of the best and most interesting podcast you guys have done. being someone who's wanted to get into YouTube forever, but always felt that the time wasn't right, or that I'm too late or it wouldn't be successful it's great to hear from creators who have actually made it talk about what's valuable in content creation outside of money and fame. might actually make some of those videos now just for me because that is enough.

ketapillar_

We are so happy to hear that elysium

Tom and Jack

Thanks for watching it Sam

Tom and Jack

Tom and Jack

Really appreciate this vuh!

Tom and Jack

Thanks so much, super happy this resonates for you

Tom and Jack

This is an absolutely beautiful patron episode, as someone who’s been largely creatively inspired by you two there’s a lot said in this that really resonates with me, thanks for the content lads 💚

The_Rey_Rey

this was so worth the 7 dollars

Alana M

We need Awsten Knight on the podcast fr!!!

Christian Saldivar

I do this every time!!!

Jessica Hill

you guys have seriously got such a great way of inspiring and encouraging creativity, it's incredible. i just feel like through your open and honest attitude it helps a lot of people realise more things are possible than would seem. sounds probably a bit weird saying that lol, but you know what i mean. stay silly guys, love the cast (i say cast cause i'm cooler than everyone else)

vuh

I really connected with this episode, I hate how social media has made slowly creating something that you put all of your effort into worth less than repetitive fast content

Rowan Dalpiaz

wonderful episode, so important to talk about these things!! keep it up guys fr fr this has been one of the highlights of my weeks

cookiecat

really conneted with this episode thank you for making it

Sam Cooley

I feel so inspired and motivated after this episode

elysium

I really felt like this episode made me feel more okay with the idea of exploring my creativity slowly before committing and I think that has weirdly made me more inspired and excited to try harder creatively

elysium

Listening to the podcast in the background while I cook lol

VaiX3

As someone not famous in a relatively small city I get recognized all the time by friends of friends and acquaintances and all that, just part of life getting recognized when your out and about

Hamish Mills

I have so many ideas for new projects or just feelings of creativity when I hear you two talk about interspective sides of comedy and filmmaking That I have to pause often just to write them down. Really appreciate those patron episodes <3

Ezra

I love introspective episodes so much, the way these two said talking to others makes them more creative just watching tommy talking about creativity makes me more excited to create in a way I don't really get often right now

Penrosegeneste

i think this has to be my favourite patreon episode honestly, i loved these questions as well as the conversation about social media, i'm glad i got to see your guys' perspective on it, very insightful 🫶

genuinely I find such comfort and beauty in seeing their perspectives on the importance or lack of importance of social media and how our generations is shaped by a wider society than ever before. Love the introspectives videos and podcast eps <3
