the school rivalry stories are so accurate and im from australia i had a mate who went to a diff school and it was a full on privo school with the the dickey uniform and this group of guys from my school use to go to our like local shops, lick and chuck lollipops at shit at these privo school boys (we also had huge gang fights and like people from other school and shit come into our school tryna stab us)

Hey girlie, even if you feel like it, you don't know dreams personality. Because you dont literally know him, and thats the truth. A lot of this sounds like you think you know him. I assume you're in high school or middle school, so I'd say i think you should drop this. Because the truth is, you don't know them. And the comment comes off rather strange. Its really nice that you feel this way about these people, like you saying "I think he didnt intend to", but the reality is, its still "I think". And you need to come to terms with that. Its important to respect their lives and maybe not think about it too hard, for your sake and creators.

Holy shit this is genuinely one of the most chronically online takes I've ever seen-- I'm not even using that term in the typical buzzword way, like this legitimately insanely parasocial. You don't know Dream. You have no idea who he is or what the interactions they've personally had were like. The people who are talking here have actually met him and interacted with him. They're well within their right to say he was a prick if they believe he was a prick. Relationships and people are nuanced. If someone insults another person, but picks up after someone else's litter, that doesn't mean that they didn't insult another person-- they are still a rude person. "We don't know what went on behind the scenes; From what we saw publicly" Exactly. You didn't see what happened privately. And obviously people are going to paint themselves in a positive light online, and they're not going to talk shit about someone they currently interact with frequently. If I don't like someone at a party I'm at I'm not gonna talk shit about them in front of them, but I might open up/rant to my friends after they leave. And also, people's opinions can change as you grow and reflect. I've definitely had a few 'friends' I viewed positively during the friendship but afterwards realized that they were kind of terrible to me and weren't a good friend. And that's allowed. And it's allowed to talk to other people who also dealt with them and say "hey that was messed up when they did xyz, huh?" You act as if it's all they talk about, and it's not, but even if it was, they're allowed to talk about a shitty situation. You have no right to tell someone else how to process their feelings and opinions about a situation that obviously bothers them.

Up to a certain part (40 mins) I feel like sharing. I went to a school for kids who had problems that prohibited them from normal school(like mental illness 99.9% of the time) and we only ever had one almost fight(we had other crazy shit) and it was one I instigated on purpose LMFAOO. This guy was saying this super victim blame type shit about women and so I went to the craziest girl in his grade and told her abt it and she went to him and started hitting. They got caught super fast tho.

God, that Dream segment WAS cathartic. I'd genuinely kill for a whole episode of more of it bc there's so much more that could be said, but maybe that's because I'm a messy bitch who feels betrayed by Dream bc I used to look up to him. And I love getting to hear that the people I *still* look up to who personally experienced it feel similarly. Like, genuinely thank you Jack for just full-chested saying you hate the guy. I'd also love like. A whole DSMP (minus the DTeam + Brighton Biter) reunion of just. Everyone venting about how much Dream and whatnot all fucking sucked. Watching acquaintances reconnect for the first time in ages and maybe starting over sounds so lovely. I feel like a lot of the SMP members could use that kind of healing ngl, but maybe that's a parasocial assumption of me. Like. DSMP was and is so special despite how messy it was, esp behind the scenes, and I get that even minus the aforementioned people, there might Still be bad eggs and tensions between people we don't know about and not everyone was friends to begin with. But it'd be nice to hear how much of the group was real vs how much of it was just CCs that just happened to be on the same SMP.
