The Ol' Silver Serpent Saloon

Hey everyone!

Saddle up for this awesome new 5th Edition five-creator collaboration: The Ol’ Silver Serpent Saloon.

The Ol’ Silver Serpent Saloon is a mini-adventure for 3rd-level characters in which the party must wheel and deal with the patrons of a Weird West saloon, in order to collect the scattered components of a mythical cowboy’s outfit. A mini-adventure is a bite-sized adventure which can be slotted into any larger campaign for a diversion and change of pace.

This adventure comes with maps, minis, magic items, and music! Everything you need to get your party around the game table and into this Weird West saloon.

Adventure by us, Mage Hand Press. In this 15-page adventure set in the Weird West, your party can perform staring contests against cactus cats, gamble their fortunes away, and battle a vampire outlaw, all in the craziest saloon this side of the West.

Minis and VTT tokens by Paper Forge. Paper Forge created new paper minis and 3 VTTs for this adventure, the enigmatic Vampire bard, his magic revolvers and the devilish Terrorweed. Join their Patreon for new minis each month.

Music by Music d20. Music d20 recorded a swinging ragtime for your epic battle with the Vampire gunslinger. Join his patreon for new RPG tracks every week.

Magic Items by Loot Tavern. Loot Tavern created 5 unique new magic items for this adventure, including the terrifying Arm’onica. Join their patreon for unique magic items to spice up your games. Available as printable cards, a PDF compendium, and VTT foundry modules.

Maps by Cze and Peku. Cze and Peku created a two-story wild west saloon for this adventure. Go table to table taking on staring contests, drinking contests, poker and imp chases. Join their patreon for monthly DnD maps, now available in printable PDF and Foundry VTT-ready formats.

Comments

It's actually intentional in this case. We simply didn't do art for every one of the cowboy outfit bits

The zip seems to be missing a few assets in the Items folder. I have the back of the Chaps card, but no front or image, and the same with the Holster. There is a template for the card back (labeled front), but not the other side (tho this may be intentional).

Short answer: I'm not sure. Long answer: When I started MHP, I didn't have any real adventure-writing experience, but my work here and with Hit Point Press has bolstered that side of my writing kit, so I'm arguably good at them now and genuinely enjoy when I get to knock out an adventure project of this scale, especially in the context of a collab where the cost isn't prohibitive. So consider these a recurring feature, but not something I'm committing to outright.

Mage Hand Press

ooh! Adventures gonna be a new recurring thing? XD

DM Yetti

Fixed. I blame Patreon for this one

Mage Hand Press

I enjoyed working with you! These collabs are always a blast

Mage Hand Press

Goddammit. I'll fix that ASAP

Mage Hand Press

It was really nice working with you and discovering what you do :D I'm always surprised by the amount of talent in the Dnd community.
