Fey Folio
Added 2018-04-01 05:30:00 +0000 UTC"See those old standing stones up on the hill? Legend tells that old Mary Malgrove wandered near there on a moonless night and vanished for a fortnight. When she returned, she seemed somewhat out of sorts, and she was missing all her toes. To everyone's surprise, she announced that it was okay; she had danced them all away in the Feywild..."
In the Fey Folio, we're taking a stroll through the Feywild and enjoying the sights. From the majestic Fey Courts, to the wild fringes where sylvan giants hold sway, the Feywild is rife with fantastic sights and wondrous characters. Feykind take every size and shape, from the tiny, butterfly-winged pixies, to the contemptuous boggarts, to the stunning sirines. Under every rock and behind every bend in this realm is something completely unexpected. All of this endless plane is bursting with arcana; even the animals and plants can talk.
So let the Feywild capture your imagination, as it has captured so many others. Strike up a conversation with a dryad, hang out with a satyr, or argue with a boggart. Get frozen by the glare of a glorious archfey. Read a page or two of the Mispelled Spellbook (if you dare). Marvel at the wonder of the Feywild and its superlative beauty. But do try to remember the way back home…
This book is a meaty 102 pages full of character options, spells, magic items, and a generous bestiary, not to mention our treatise on the Feywild's lore. Whether you just want a fairy character in your next campaign, or an entire campaign arc in the Feywild, this book has something for you!

Also, the second half of this book is full of amazing art from the very, very talented Lucas Ferreira, who's going to be working with us a lot! Check out some of his art here. Lucas is basically always available for commission, so if you're looking for a rad character portrait, give him a shout!

2018-12-02 14:51:47 +0000 UTCThe way I've run it is: yes, carrying coin is a problem. I tend to give out gemstones instead, which have a better value/weight ratio. The pixies in my party also let the STR 16 oread carry everything, but she is very trustworthy, and I appreciate that PCs aren't always so good at teamwork. You could also give out a bag of holding, which solves the problem. Pixies would need to buy special tiny gear, yes, which might be more expensive. On the flip side, *regular size* gear would be difficult to find in pixie villages, so it really depends on where your game is set... I did write a spell for shrinking objects (it's in the book), but it's not really meant for day-to-day life.

2018-05-02 22:01:07 +0000 UTCGood question. By RAW, you can't add any dice-based damage (hex, SA, etc.) to it. I'm happy to leave that as-is. Non-dice-based damage (rage, etc.) is ambiguous, and my official ruling is that you *can* add that to a swallowtail strike.

2018-05-02 21:44:45 +0000 UTCso i am interested in playing a pixie rouge. but i wonder how loot works for a tiny creature. how does a pixie carry coin? how would a pixie get better weapons? would the tools, weapons and potions need to be specially made for a pixie? or can the pixie like shrink coins, weapons and tools when carrying it?

2018-04-30 16:55:14 +0000 UTCAbout the swallowtail strike, from the monk's way of the butterfly, how does is interacts with spells such as hex, sneak attacks, battlemaster's maneuvers, rage bonus damage, cantrips such as warmage's molten blade and feats such as great weapon master? does the damage becomes dex modifier despite any boost of damage existing or would only the base damage of the attack become the dex modifier?
