Flower Shop Inked Pages 1-4
Added 2021-03-26 05:19:28 +0000 UTCGood evening ya’ll, just popping in to show off some inked pages for the flower shop comic. So far the inking stage of this comic has been pretty straightforward as there actually isn’t a lot that’s changed between the penciled and inked pages with the exception of small things like the details of a flower here and there, the insertion of a squirt bottle on page 2 and a few hand positions which I feel are much better than before.
Something else I kinda wanted to point out, design-wise I’m starting to emphasize a bit more in some closeups the slight gap that’s inbetween Erica’s two front teeth, a detail I kinda started implementing later in the sketching process that I think makes her look a bit more unique. One aspect of her original design that unfortunately right now is actually unseen at any point in the comic is the fact that she wears Crocs. There currently isn’t a single panel where her feet are visible! Maybe that’ll change later...

Ah I guess I meant more that if it was going to be jarring in any story, that was the one it was most likely to happen in. I did intend for it to feel natural in that one, so I'm glad it did!

It wasn’t jarring or unnatural, it fit well with the style and was fitting with the situation. I love how you implement it! - So the only way to go is up! I believe in you! Goodluck!
2021-03-26 05:35:57 +0000 UTCThanks! My biggest hope with my comics is to have an artstyle that allows characters to switch between pretty cartoony and exaggerated and very realistic without it being too noticeable that the viewer gets whiplash.
